Summary: Our host was very helpful and kind. The lockbox eas a litgle hard to open and close. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful time.

Summary: Everything about the vacation week was perfect. The cottage and everything inside is fairly new and very clean. Everything worked and is should, AC, appliances, BBQ. Is is located in a secluded area of the resort, so although it is a bit of a walk to the beach and pools, once we were back in the evening it was peace and quiet, the perfect country side for an evening by the fire. The owner is super nice and helpful. Sent all the info beforehand and always promptly reply to every message. Bonus points for supplying firewood and coffee pods for the machine.

Summary: Was very happy with our vacation week away. Cottage was exactly as described and amenities of the resort were excellent. About a 5-7 minute walk to the beach/pool area. Pools and beach were great for the kids, sports court had lots of options from basketball to tennis/badminton/pickle ball, opportunity to play horse shoes and paddle board. BBQ propane tank was full for our week of use and campfire with comfy muskoka chairs was wonderful to relax at each night. Fellow cottagers were warm, friendly and helpful. We had a mishap on the first night (locked ourselves outside, completely our own fault) and Salvatore was responsive, helpful and understanding. Information that may be helpful to future guests is that the welcome centre is cashless, so you don't need to bring cash with you. Also of note, the cottage doesn't have a microwave, but does has a wonderful full size fridge and stove/range that work great. Overall we had a great vacation week at Shamrock Bay Resort.

Summary: We had a nice stay. The unit was clean and well-maintained. Had some challenges with the thermostat. Some instructions would have been nice. Took plenty of fiddling to figure it out. Was disappointed that we chose this location for the amenities - namely kayaking, and found that the there were no life jackets available due to COVID. That’s fine, but it would have been nice to know in advance that we were required to bring our own.

Summary: This was a great last minute getaway for the family. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old that loved playing at the park and pool. We also went on nature walks through the woods. It's quite bumpy so strollers are not recommended. The beach is really small but enough for the kids to play around. We ended up going to Couchiching beach which was a short 20 mins drive away. We also did some canoeing and kayaking which was a nice bonus to have access to. Overall it was a nice resort, but very small. The cottage itself is quite nice. Very clean. The host is very accommodating and communication with him was so easy. All we had to bring were linens, which is fine since Covid is still a thing. Would recommend for short trips since there isn't a lot to do. Thanks for a nice stay!

Summary: The cottage came fully loaded. All we had to bring was pillows, sheets and covers. Kitchen had utensils, plates, pots n pans. Toaster n pod coffee machine with pods available. We just did groceries from the no frills 15 mins away and we were set for our stay. Our host couldn't have done more. The double war good for mom n dad. Our two boys took the bunk beds. Boys were at the resort pool most of the days. The resort beach was really tiny and didnt allow pets so we went to the beach at gravenhurst which didnt allow pets either but the park is close enough. The resort had canoes and kayaks for use for free. Do we did that one day. Make sure u bring your own life jackets because of covid. I would recommend this cottage and resort.

Summary: We usually rent lakeside cottages but was considering buying a trailer and wanted to test it out first. I was there with my husband and daughter 5 days. We left a day early because we were done with all the rain! I was impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and really liked that our dog was welcomed. There was ample room for the 4 of us. We really appreciated all the extras that were included (dish & bath soap, fire wood). My husband loved that he had coffee at his disposal. My daughter, being an only child, loved that there were other kids at the resort to play with and were really friendly. Apparently they came looking for her after we left! We would return for this reason. My only complaint is that the pool and other facilities (which were lovely) were not equipped to sustain all the guests and I sometimes noticed a hierarchy separating owners and renters but for the most part many of the more mature and less catty owners were very hospitable. Giancarlo was always a pleasure to correspond with despite a couple of blips in our stay. We would rent from him again and are glad this experience helped us decided that owning a trailer in a resort park is not for us.
