Positive: The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. Staff was nice.
Negative: We had requested a ground floor room in response to the hotel enquiry anout any special needs & requirements. We are both over 70. In response to that, we simply received another message confirming our reservation. Upon check in, we were then told we had to climb 2 1/2 flights of stairs. There are no lifts. Had we been advised no ground floor rooms were available when we requested it, we might have booked elsewhere. The windows opened about 3 inches. MAX. That is it. It was quite a hot weekend and with no A/C, the standing fan didn't cool the room at all and very little, if any, air circulation. The curtains in our room (503?) had numerous holes in them! In general, the hotel and the room look very " tired".

Positive: I did enjoy being able to sit together in the lounge area, have a drink, and share a few share plates, instead of the pressure of eating a larger meal.
Negative: The access to and from the rooms, when carrying a large suitcase, is challenging.
Summary: It was a lovely place to stay at, though was further out of Bristol than I expected.

Positive: The property was great, there was lots of room for my grandchildren to run around on the grass area.. Rooms were spacious too. The lounge area downstairs was great to enjoy a coffee and relax.. Breakfast was perfect and a great selection. We were comfortable and the staff were very polite and welcoming. We would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have some quiet time.
Negative: What I didn’t like was not staying as long as I wanted to…

Positive: The hotel was beautiful and very big and luxurious. Staff polite and friendly
Negative: The drinks at the bar were limited in offerings. No dark rum, no fruit ciders. Finding our room was a maze of corridors and lots of stairs. No lifts. No help with luggage. Our room 508 was near I can only presume was their generator or power room. At 5.30 am we were woken up to a very loud buzzing noise. Decor of the room is alittle tired.
