Positive: I booked the room for one day in July about one year before my TMB because I knew it would be hot season in summer in Champed-Lac. This is the only stop we planned to stay at a hotel instead of a campsite for a little change. However I missed the massage later from the hotel saying that they actually did not take bookings until Aug and would like to negotiate a cancellation. Since I never got back to the hotel, even though they seemed to be closed when I arrived, they still arranged the room for me and made sure all the facilities worked well. As we were caught up in a downpour at the campsite the day before and everything got soaked, a room at Champex-Lac is all we needed. When we arrived at first I thought the hotel was closed and something went wrong. So I checked if there were any rooms still available in Champex-Lac. Nothing! The whole town was fully booked. Until I saw the message left by the hotel on bookings and finally got into the room, I couldn’t express how appreciative I were at that moment! Besides there were free snacks and coffee at the minibar. The beddings were super soft. Most importantly the room had a small garden facing the lake. We had the laundry rack in the garden and enough space to dry our clothes and tent there. And we were able to sit in the garden and enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake. One more thing, the hotel is located right in front of the bus station. Literally just one minute walk. So it is very convenient for anyone taking the bus there, but it won’t be very noisy because everyone is quiet. In a word we had a very good rest at this home away from home and were able to continue our TMB full of energy when we left the town. Highly recommend this place. Again thank you for everything.

Positive: Located right near the lake, and accessible to the nearby bar (1 min walk) and shops (5 min walk) . Cozy room, clean bathroom and comfortable bed. It was a self check in, and the instructions were very easy to follow. I stopped here for a day while doing the Haute Route hike.
