Positive: Easily the best spot on the Island! The location could not be better, right on bikini beach just next to Cokes Surf Break and many beachfront restaurants to choose from. My partner and I spent 8 nights at the Met House and would definitely go back. The team at the Met House are what made the experience for us. Darina (the host at the time), was an absolute legend and could not have been more helpful and friendly! Anything we needed or wanted to do she organised and made it happen and was always available when we needed her. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible time. She even held yoga classes for me at sunrise which I would highly recommend doing if you enjoy yoga. She’s a highly experienced teacher and just a wonderful human. The rest of the team Badil and Mohammad were also incredibly friendly and helpful and provided us with a delicious breakfast every morning (fresh fruit, eggs, toast etc or a traditional Maldivian option too) as well as additional extras that was above and beyond our expectations (focaccia in the afternoons, refreshing drinks etc). They were trustworthy, always available to help and provided us with everything we needed. The room was comfortable, air conditioned and cleaned daily. Once again, a 10/10 team at the Meg House, Thankyou Darina, Badil and Mohammad, for an incredible and memorable stay, we couldn’t have asked for more! We will be back!
Negative: One thing I will say is the walls were definitely thin and not very soundproof. Unfortunately this did mean we were kept awake most nights by a very loud family with kids next door. This isn’t a fault of the team at all, just something to be aware of if you’re staying here - perhaps pack some earplugs!

Positive: Location on the beach with views to both surf breaks, deluxe room was nice and roomy with a large bathroom and good shower. Bed super comfortable. Access to discounted massage next door. Breakfast was a good size. Requested local mashuni tuna coconut breaky which was accommodated gladly.
Negative: Some of outdoor furniture is a bit old and umbrellas in particular. No area to hang wet surf clothes or surfboard rack. No real attempt to really accommodate gluten free or dairy free alternate options ( which is also quite hard to do there). I did request local breakfast Mashuni one day which was delivered and was great! Otherwise all I got was fruit and egg. No variation in food. I brought some cereal from home.
Summary: Overall we had a lovely stay at Met house. The location was perfect. Bed was comfy and a nice fruit platter for breakfas

Positive: Absolutely breathtaking view from the room straight onto the bikini beach and sea. Sunbeds provided with umbrellas. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Met at the jetty for an easy transfer
Negative: The walls are extremely thin between rooms. There was some sort of fan/appliance that clicked on and off 24/7 behind the rooms which was disturbing at times.

Positive: The location is unbeatable — right on the beach with stunning views and a peaceful vibe. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the daily breakfasts were truly amazing — fresh, delicious, and served with care. We also loved the pizza hour every day at 17:00 — such a fun and tasty bonus after a day in the sun! A very special thank you to Joy, the wonderful manager who made our stay incredibly smooth and enjoyable. He was always available, attentive, and genuinely kind. Joy helped us with everything — from local recommendations to organizing activities. His warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home. We’d 100% recommend Met House to anyone visiting Thulusdhoo — it’s a perfect blend of comfort, location, and personal touch.
