Summary: Great location for fishing. Amazing amenities and place. Very clean. The host is very responsive. Would recommend it for an up north fishing experience.

Summary: The location was ideal for our annual women's ski weekend. Two cross country ski areas were only about 20 to 25 minutes away. Additionally the location in the Manistee National Campground allowed us to ski and hike right out the front door. The accomodations were clean and comfortable and it was great to soak in the hot tub after a long day of skiing. The host responded immediately to our needs and made sure we were happy with our stay. We would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion that we might have is to add a wine bottle opener and more teaspoons to the utensil drawer.... and next time we will bring a couple of balloons to hang on the property sign post to help those that arrived in the dark find the house. Overall it is a wonderful and peaceful place to stay.

Summary: Finding the property the first time was a challenge. Although the house number had been given in the listing, it wasn't visible at the end of the driveway. It was in the midst of the biggest snowstorm of the season (to date) and the drive had been plowed enough to be able to see where it was, although I'm sure glad I went during daylight; the rest of my party arrived after dark and I was able to guide them in through the blizzard because I'd been there already. The listing did not say that the primary entrance is accessible only by going up a full flight of exterior stairs that had not been shoveled, requiring me to slog through 6+ inches of snow. I had to search, but did find a snow shovel and cleared the steps somewhat. The house itself is great and the heated floors are divine! The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The notebook provided by the owner/property manager was informative. The bathrooms were fine except the one off the main living area upstairs had a plugged sink. There seemed to be lots of washcloths and bath towels but no hand towels. There was plenty of toilet paper but only one box of facial tissue and one roll of paper towel for the whole house. The kitchen was only okay. The hot tub was dirty. The snowplow came through at 2:30 a.m. The neighbors have a curious but not friendly dog. The outside property is gorgeous and the property manager is very responsive to text messages. Probably better for a summer stay.

Summary: Overall are group had a very good time at this property. It was a good bit of space and had some nice amenities. I would like to point out if you have anyone with physical disabilities the stairs are a bit steep so maybe not the best stay with grandparents but for our needs (25-35) it was fine and the dirt roads are best with a reliable vehicle as they were pretty dark and without good reception at night. We would stay here again for sure!

Summary: Great location, walking distance to Manistee River and beautiful hiking trails on forested state land. Within short driving distance to nearby towns and recreation. House was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was nice with full size fridge.

Summary: We have stayed at this house I love it in a perfect location for hunting or family gathering I love the river and a very short distance walk to thousand of state land the house in a good condition everything have available in kitchen.
