Positive: Everything. It is in a beautiful spot on the edge of Dartmoor. There were masses of snowdrops in the pretty garden and a rookery by the river. It was dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and fun too. I think they had been very well trained. The rooms were impeccably clean. The dinner we had for nine was really delicious. There was a good choice of food and the wine list was fine. It was a bit on the expensive side so I cannot afford to go there often but my wife said afterwards that it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent and the room used for that was beautiful. The place is a warren of corridors and secret side doors, so pay attention when walked to your room so you do not get lost!

Positive: The staff were lovely and smiley. The food was wonderful. There's lovely walks straight from the hotel. Great that it's dog friendly but not required for us.
Negative: We would have preferred feather pillows but we know this is not the norm for a hotel.
