Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the house and the local area is wonderful. The host was a lovely lady that answered any of our questions. The host even helped us with our appalling French! We would certainly come back.

Summary: "A very pleasant location, nice and quiet for a relaxing holiday. The owners were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. A lovely garden which was great to sit out in after a hard day at the beach."

Summary: "Our holiday was fantastic! On arrival we were greeted with complimentary drinks by the owners who were very friendly and helpful in all respects. The children adored the swimming pool and the surrounding garden is beautiful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable for nine or ten. The nearby beaches were spectacular especially L`Especier. Mimizan Plage has all the usual seaside attractions including an extensive market on Thursdays and a funfair for all the family. The paper mill smell was only noticeable first thing in the morning when most members of our group were not yet up! Nearby canoeing was great fun and highly recommended. We would definitely visit again!"

Summary: "This was a lovely place to stay. The house was clean and comfortable and the garden and pool area were very pleasant. The owner who lived upstairs was very friendly. The area around Mimizan plage had many cycle routes, and these were well marked and away from the roads and so were very good when cycling with small children. The cycle ride to the beach at Especier was particularly pleasant."

Summary: "We have just had an excellent holiday in Mimizan. We are two families totalling 10 people. The owners were very friendly without being intrusive. Communication before the holiday was very efficient. The accomodation was very clean, tidy, well maintained and comfortable. It is set in a quiet residential area. The nights were very quiet and cool. The kitchen is slightly small but very well equipped. The gas BBQ was great and used nearly every evening along with the swimming pool! The beach and surrounding forest is wonderful. We hired bicycles and canoes and had a great time. There is a covered market in Mimizan Plage every morning which is a must for all your fresh food. Despite a previous mention by some other guests about the smell from the paper mill it did not trouble us at all; there was occassionally a very slight smell, but this should not put you off at all. Overall we had a brilliant holiday and we would not hesitate to book the same holiday again in the future (in fact next week sounds good to me!)"

Summary: "The house is situated in a quiet residential area amongst tall pines. It is comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a very high standard and whilst there were only 6 of us it could quite easily accommodate two families (the walls and floors are thick enough to deaden most sounds). There is a 20 minute walk to the nearest beach, 10 mins by bike, loads of car free cycle tracks in the area, or about 5 mins by car. Similar times to get to the heart of Mimizan Plage with its restaurants shops etc. (Good meals at the Isle de Malte and La Pergola, dodgy service at the Belle Vue). Major supermarket at nearby Mimizan (Leclerc) which leads us to the only minor problem in the area - the Paper Mill. Normally this will not affect you (unless cycling past) but if the wind is in the wrong direction the smell can be quite overwhelming. The owners,Mr and Mme Alquier, were extremely polite, helpful and generous. Overall the house provided a perfect base for a family beach holiday with plenty of other actvities in the area and we would not hesitate to return."
