Positive: Minto house was a great location to stay in Edinburgh. There was a bus station just outside the property. It was very easy to navigate to everything we wanted to see. The beds were a little firmer than I like, but not terrible. The room was a good size and the shower was nice. I loved the beautiful old staircase with its gorgeous wooden banister. Parking is a premium in the area, but we were able to secure parking which was nice. It is a quiet area that felt very safe. The host is a good communicator and checked to be sure everything was OK upon check in.

Positive: Being on a major arterial road into Edinburgh, busses were very easy to catch. Our host and her family made sure we had parking close by and then on the property. Nadia was friendly and very helpful.

Positive: Comfortable and cozy (does not mean small) room with bathroom. Comfortable double bed - slept well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Another advantage is the location - easy and quick access by public transport to the center or other areas (e.g. Portobello Beach); 15 min walk from Holyrood Park.

Negative: Too small tea cups ;), but I will admit right away that due to the good weather we were out of the hotel all day and did not have time to ask the hosts to change :)
