Positive: I had a single room with a seating space and TV (#410). Facilities OK, room ample and light. Comfortable bed. Towel provided. Fridge in the room. No air condition, but my room was not exposed to direct sunlight, so it was pretty chilly, and nights were generally chilly. Good location at the main street with plenty cheap restaurants and grocery shops nearby. Friendly staff. The room was not cleaned during my entire stay, but I did not ask for. Supposing, when asked, someone would clean it. Two beaches are located within a walking distance (approx. 10 mins). The Grand Plage is the best. Recommended place to stay.
Negative: Just recommendation to the owner/ manager: please provide some hooks or hangers/ handles in the bathroom or in the room to place wet clothes and towels to dry. It would be highly appreciated!

Positive: I liked my room at the southside, because on this side no noise of morning traffic, and not in the full beam of the cellphone-tower (like north-side upper floors). reception occupied 24/7. Very friendly people. restaurants and coffee-shops just 30 á 40 meters away. Walk to 2 nearest beaches in less then 30 minutes. I had 2 rooms: bedroom and sittingroom. So, specious for 1 person. Very new, and looking clean. I stayed a whole midweek. Could easily change rooms, if I wanted (but didnt). Price of my room was very good for just 13,- euro incl. city tax. No balcony (other rooms have, then you pay little more) Great view from the roof.
Negative: If the eye-incident would not have happened, I would have rated Hotel Beach a 9 or 10. There were some minor things, like the toilet flush didn't work properly, neither did TV, but I was used and didn't border 'much, not watching TV. However, what did border me is what happened........the first night, I put out the light, draw the heavy blanket up until my chin, by doing so, a cloud of something like stinging sand / powder (?) falls into my eyes, something which hurts my eyes. Next morning with my right eye I see all kinds of spider-rags in that eye floating, had a headache, and burning painful eyes. The had a great impact on the weeks following. Now about 3 weeks later. Much better, but still pain and spots in my eyes. (still I don't give the hotel a very low score, because of all the good things). So, I think the customers before me in the room, must have spoiled something on the heavy blanket. I understand that it is hard to clean these very heavy bed-covers every day, but in my case this was a dramatic event. Nobody to blame in particular however. Just my message. If you spill anything on a bed-cover, hang and shake it outside the window by yourself. Specially when it is something not visible like washing-powder or skincare-powder and that kind of stuff.
Summary: Good, cheap, recommanded, but with a flip-side in my case.
