Positive: Location, views, feeling like youโ€™re getting away from everything. So nice and quiet, with just the birds and butterflies disturbing the peace. Upstairs deck is a great place to sit with forever views. Outdoor brazier and wood supply. Well-equipped kitchen, large (double) oven, plenty of plates, cutlery, glasses, tea towels, cookware. This was really appreciated as we did all our own meals across four days. Large outdoor table worked well for meals, and it's undercover. Wifi worked really well. Lots of games and books. Bed was super comfy. Having two full bathrooms was convenient. Plenty of parking. Laundry facilities.
Negative: "Weekenda" booking company was very difficult to deal with eg. conflicting check-in times, confusing emails/text messages that contradicted each other. The phone system tree kept looping, phone calls/emails not returned. When I did get onto someone to talk to, they were good, but getting to that was painful. Eg. In the end it was just too hard to find out about checking in two-hours earlier, so that in the end I had to book a whole extra night. (Booking.com was fine, have dealt with them both domestically and internationally over the years and they are too easy). A dishwasher wouldโ€™ve been great, septic tanks permitting. New upstairs bathroom is lovely, but needs a window covering and a shower curtain/screen. No internal staircase between upstairs and downstairs, this is not made clear in the blurb. Downstairs smelled damp/mouldy. Window coverings needed for night-time privacy, as it is on ground level. It was about a 50 min round trip for a take-away coffee (instant coffee and tea was supplied with thanks). A simple coffee machine would be great, or perhaps a French press.

Negative: The house had not been cleaned there was dirty towels and dirty bedding in every room, mess all over the floor and kitchen benches.

Positive: Property was fine, a little dusty but the listing didnโ€™t specify the whole place wasnโ€™t conjoined, one bedroom was in a bottom half of the property and the other two were at the top.
Negative: I donโ€™t normally leave bad reviews but I had to call the emergency staff line at about 10pm as I didnโ€™t receive the access code to be let in due to a phone problem and Adam was very rude and short to us. We were having issues with reception as it is a rural location and he was not understanding at all. He gave us one word answers. While it was not his fault, it would have been nice if he was not obviously annoyed at a problem which just required him to text us a code.
