Positive: We had a wonderful time at this cottage. Very beautiful home, well taken care of and clean. The cottage was fully stocked with everything that you would need to feel right at home. The hosts were wonderful, very responsive and helpful. Gave perfect recommendations for things to do. We visited for 5 days with our young child and felt safe. Walking distance to amazing Chutes off the river. Great for fishing, swimming and site seeing. Fire pit and BBQ in the back for cozy nights in. We would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Positive: The master bedroom was really comfortable size wise and loved that they had a king bed, the queen room was smaller but nice to have a queen mattress. The futon was comfortable enough for sleeping on. Really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was. The house was clean and had lovely common spaces. Especially the enclosed outdoor porch was great (being outdoor with screens made all the difference for evening mosquitoes etc). The indoor couches were comfortable and tv set up etc was comfortable. Lots of parking and 20 minutes from Huntsville where you can get to restaurants, groceries etc Hosts had some great recommendations for restaurants and beaches and were responsive and helpful
Negative: There is no AC unit in the bedrooms, so it was warmer than we would have liked for sleeping. There’s an AC in the living room and the furnace fan and doors being open during the day is meant to help pull cool air into the bedrooms and there are ceiling fans in each room. They provide two extra standing small fans as well. There are common bathroom shower is quite tight (not shown in the pics) so for larger people it’s not super comfortable. My mother in law and sister in law ended up having to use the master bath. Location is a bit out of the way eg a 20 min drive from restaurant/shopping in Huntsville so just keep that in mind- I didn’t mind as we were also close to port Sydney beach which was perfect for swimming with our toddler. There’s no key or code for the front door- so when leaving/entering the house, one person always has to lock up and then leave through the garage entrance. Not a huge deal but an additional step/slight detour when packing/unpacking the car and with kids. It would be ideal if they had a code for the front door so it’s easier to get in and out etc

The host also provided us with weather condition and road closure details while we made our way to the property which made things a lot easier. I am also looking forward to possibly booking again. The Christmas tree was our fav!
