The sound of gentle ocean waves welcomes you as you settle on the couch in the living room of the Whale Gazer and take in the sweeping views of the Sound & Cascade Mountains through your floor-to-ceiling windows. You may even catch a glimpse of a seal or a whale in season! Situated on Camano Island's historic Tyee Beach, this house has it all- a fully equipped kitchen with nespresso coffee maker, toaster, stainless appliances, whole house AC, work space and wireless internet. Outdoor boasts a private yard with hot tub, cozy chair swing and a roof top deck with gas fire pit and grill for alfresco dining and relaxing. Come and experience tranquility at its fullest.

Stay: Holiday weekends have 3 night minimum stay
Security: For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have outdoor cameras only facing front door and patio entrances.
Gas Grill / Fire pit: Let us know if propane tank goes empty during your stay and you need to switch to the other tank. So we can refill and our next guests can enjoy too!
We request guests to please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. If found left dirty and requires extra cleaning, an extra cleaning fee may be required.
Other Things to Note:
The community is accessed via a steep hill. Ice/snow is infrequent in the winter, though please be advised it is possible and use caution while driving. Power outages may occur occasionally. Please note the rooftop deck and outdoor areas may be wet and slippery during the winter/rainy season.

We want you to relax and enjoy your stay at the Whale Gazer, so please make yourselves at home. We are available for you, but our level of interaction is up to you. Summary: The home is absolutely lovely and comfortable, with thoughtful touches by the owners. A few minor housekeeping issues aside (slow sink drain, missing kitchen items), our stay was wonderful. There was one misleading item on the posting. A picture of a third sleeping areas labeled "common room" showed a picture of the same 2nd bedroom from another angle. But the actual sleeping area is the couch in the living room. These things didn't impact the overall enjoyment of our stay though.

Summary: The house and its location were excellent. The host was very courteous, accommodating and responsive. The house was very clean and stocked like a luxury hotel room. We truly had a great time.

Summary: Myself, husband, daughter and son -in-law stayed here 4 nights. We have done 10+ VRBOs and this was our favorite! The views are incredible from main room and roof top deck. The bedrooms are dark and cool (in a good way). The AC and game table a huge bonus. We also enjoyed the hot tub (with a great view also). Close to grocery store, restaurants, parks and beaches. Only suggestion - a guest log book would be fun.

Summary: We had never spent any time in the Pacific Northwest and this property was the perfect place to do it. Amazing views of seals, dolphins and some whales in the distance. There are plenty of easy family hikes to do very close to the property as well through the forest. The property itself was exactly as the pictures showed. Our kids had such a good time on the game table that we might have to buy one! Sri was very communicative and answered any questions we had. Overall we had an amazing trip, and the house was a big part of it!

Summary: We loved this property! Quiet, clean, serene, amazing views of Port Susan! Everything we could have wanted for a long weekend vacation. The house is right on the water! The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. The house is nice and modern and very well kept! Our host even left a birthday card for us. Such a wonderful experience staying at this location. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family and would go back in a heartbeat!

Summary: My family (two adults, two teens) had the most wonderful two nights here! The house is gorgeous with so many thoughtful details (memory foam mattresses, games, all the streaming platforms). Kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub with a view was worth the trip alone. We also loved doing s’mores on the roof deck and reading up there in the mornings. The highlight, though, was the infinity game table which was a ton of fun. Host was communicative and friendly! Can’t wait to come back.

Summary: We had such a great time. What a great property. Loved the roof-top deck!! The beach walks and walking the lane were awesome. Loved the beds too!! I think you have the best mattresses and pillows we have ever had at a VRBO. Definitely planning to visit again and soon.
