Dahlia is an extremely well-appointed luxury vacation rental property situated on over 10 acres of rolling hills and woodland preserves in the heart of SW Michigan’s wine country.
The Space
Distributed among three levels, the custom-built 10,000 square foot home offers high-end amenities in a modern, yet comfortable atmosphere. Dahlia is well-suited to accommodate large groups, offering multiple spaces large enough for your whole crew and numerous specialized entertainment spaces. Nature rushes in through the soaring floor-to-ceiling windows providing a perfect SW Michigan hideaway.
The main level features 3 spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a powder room, spacious open concept chef’s kitchen/great room, large dining space, catering kitchen, and screened balcony overlooking the pool and woods.
The lower level is entertainment central! The great room includes a game room with a pool table, ping-pong table, smart TV, wet bar with refrigerator, and powder room. Dahlia’s amazing kids’ playroom with a wide array of toys and books is a great space for little ones’ imaginations to run wild. The theater room is an ideal viewing setting with comfy seating and digital projector. This level includes an expansive bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
The remaining 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms on the upper level are situated in three distinct wings, providing private settings for peaceful slumber.
Dahlia’s backyard oasis includes a large heated swimming pool with safety cover, two hot tubs, outdoor dining area with gas grill, and custom fire pit. The property’s basketball and bocce ball courts are perfectly-suited for a little friendly competition while the shallow end of the pool’s three levels make it easy for children to splash around and adults to lounge in.
The Location
Dahlia is located moments away from some of the area’s best winery tasting rooms and nearby Bridgman offers a fun destination for breweries and restaurants. The beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan are 20 minutes away, including our favorite breathtaking hikes at Warren Dunes State Park and family-friendly Silver Beach complete with carousel and amusement park.

Summary: We spent a long weekend at Dahlia for a mini family reunion and couldn’t have had a better time. The house is amazing- fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, plenty of fridge/freezer space, and a laundry room with about 6 washers and dryers…every mom’s dream lol. There was so much to do for every age- we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tubs, fire pit, bocce, basketball, golf, and corn hole…everyone just rotated from one thing to the next and enjoyed the perfect weather. The pool table, ping pong, and card table were late night favs. The best part about this house was the memories made within it. It was so special to spend that time with my family and the next generations that hadn’t even met yet! We laughed endlessly and truly enjoyed spending some long overdue time together. It was a magical weekend for sure :)

Summary: The house is everything and more than we expected to be! The pictures don't do it justice. The place is perfect! The rooms are spacious and well furnished, the kitchen is big and perfect for a large gathering, and the outdoor area has something for everyone. Even though it was on the colder side when we were there, the kids enjoyed playing outside and so did the adults with the hot tub and fire pit. This place is worth ever dollar!

Summary: The Dahlia house is unbelievable!! We rented this house in December to get our entire family together to remember our Mother and share Christmas together. There were 36 of us ranging in age from 7 months to 62. The owners were so kind to put up a Christmas tree and make the house so festive for us. The house is even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures on the website show. The kitchen is a chef’s dream and well stocked with pots and pans and everything you need to serve your guests. The house is great for young children, it even has a children’s playroom and a theater room. We were blessed with a beautiful December day where we could enjoy the outdoor area which includes a large fire pit, hot tubs, play area for the kids and so much more. Because it was winter, we did not use the pool but there were plenty of other things to do. I cannot say enough about this beautiful place. It was the perfect place to get all of our family together. The rooms are so spacious. We all decided we will definitely want to come back again. Thank you so much to Dwell Vacations for for making all the arrangements so simple!! We were all so blessed by our time together in this amazing house!!

Summary: We had 20 girls gather for a bachelorette party and it was so nice for everyone to have their own space and be comfortable, and also have plenty of gathering space. We had a sit down dinner Friday which was perfect with the two large tables. Beyond happy with this property- I'll be back!

Summary: Our extended family of 28 people gathered at the Dahlia house for a family reunion and memorial service for a family member in July 2021. We ranged in age from 3 months to 82 years old, with 16 adults and 12 children under 11 years of age. Everyone agreed the house was the ideal place for us. The guestbook/instruction manuals were well laid out and very helpful. We were able to arrive prepared and familiar with the spaces which was important since we were coming from 7 different states. The many bedrooms and bathrooms made it possible for individual families to have privacy and quiet spaces for older adults and babies. The kitchen had lots of eating spaces & worked well for our family dinners together. The Prep/caters' kitchen added extra storage space as well as the walk-in pantry. The multiple independent thermostats allowed each group to have control over their own bedroom temperatures. We appreciated the baby/kid provisions provided - cribs, high chairs, baby bath tubs, toys, little water table, and the toy room. Other items provided: soaps, shampoos, & basic supplies were plentiful and good quality. The outside space was wonderful. People were in the pool every day and the layout of the pool with the three different levels was FABULOUS and worked very well, providing safe sections for kids and all. We appreciated the pool towels and sand toys for the kids. We enjoyed making s'mores at the firepit area. The hot tub was a big hit with the adults. There are 2 hot tubs but unfortunately one was broken when we arrived. We notified Penny and someone came to fix it midweek. We also contacted Penny about another maintenance issue and someone came out to fix that as well. We really appreciated their responses to our concerns. Penny was very helpful and great to work with throughout our entire booking process and stay. The AV equipment was good, easy to use and good WiFi. However, cell service was poor for many of us. One of our members who is in IT said a "repeater would have been nice". We were grateful for all the washers/dyers with all our kids. We enjoyed the good central Michigan location, and visited a local winery, brewery, parks for the kids and the beach at St Joe's. The kids especially loved the hidden items - angels and fairies - that they discovered while on a scavenger hunt in the house. Overall the house had lots of wonderful areas, served our group very well and everyone loved it. We would highly recommend Dahlia.
