Dogwood is a charming vacation rental property nestled within the woodlands near Lake Michigan in SW Michigan’s Harbor Country.
The Space
With a main house and detached guest house totaling 3,500 square feet of living space plus an expansive backyard surrounded by forest, Dogwood is well-suited to large groups who want to disconnect a bit and experience the serenity of the natural world.
The main house’s communal space is anchored by a generously-sized living room with a wood-burning fireplace, home theater system, and multiple seating areas. Equipped with updated appliances, the beautifully remodeled kitchen connects to a large picturesque dining area surrounded by glass. The main house includes 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms on the second & third floors.
Located a few steps away, the cozy guest house provides an additional 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, plus a living room & eat-in kitchenette area.
Dogwood’s 1,800 square foot outdoor area includes a large wrap-around wood deck, hot tub, outdoor dining area with gas grill, outdoor ping-pong table, and fire pit. The property’s large backyard on the 2-acre lot creates an idyllic backdrop for outdoor activities of all kinds.

Summary: We booked this property for a golf trip with a large group of people (21). Each person had a bed to sleep in, the outdoor area is perfect for yard games, grilling out or laying by the pool. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

Summary: I couldn't of asked for a better location and house to host my best friends bachelorette weekend. We had 23 women and there was plenty of room for everyone! I would definately go back!

Summary: We arrived right after a snow storm had gone through and the lot was well plowed and ready for us. Upon entering the house, it was most pleasant and inviting. A beautiful Christmas tree greeted us, the table fully set beautifully for sixteen. Anything we would want was available, it stayed warm for us, decorating was simple and beautifully done. We spent most of the time with activities around the huge table, from the two year old to the 81 year old. Many memories were made and we couldn't help but think it would be a great spot during warmer months. We would definitely return for another family stay.

Summary: Beautifully appointed. The kitchen had everything you'd need, lots of dining, living and sleeping space. The deck, outside eating area, firepit, and hot tub were a hit. Walking distance to hike in the state park, minutes to area activities. Communication and support from the owner was excellent. Highly recommend!

Summary: What a spacious house and beautiful property. We had plenty of room for our group of 9 across the two different houses. We loved the hot tub, enjoyed the outdoor firepit and had multiple meals gazing out across the trees changing for Fall. You do need a car to get around and uber isn't very active in the area so some pre planning is helpful. The host was very responsive and gave us plenty of suggestions for how to get around. Would stay here again especially with the new pool they are installing.

Summary: A group of girlfriends and I enjoyed our time at the property while we explored the New Buffalo area and local wineries. The beds were comfortable, the large dining table was fantastic for a large group, and we loved spending time in the hot tub and at the fire pit.

Summary: Very family friendly, well prepared for a large group: space, cooking equipment, towels, ample space to set and visit, enjoy the hot tub. A well prepared guest book helped to know what was in the area and things to do. Lots of other places to visit: Warren Dunes State Park - swimming, breweries, distillery, parks. Only issue was the yard, slightly torn up, tall grass and weeds, a dug-up hole - caused a need to limit the play area of children and adults doing frisby practice.
