Summary: Our stay was just wonderful. Location is perfect, you can walk to the train, the castle and park. Only a 20 min train ride into Galway. Paul is great, made sure all was good with us while we were there and gave great recommendations for places to eat both in Galway and in Athenry. I would highly recommend this little gem for a great get a way. Sharon

Summary: We had a great time here. The guest house is so cozy and is a 10 minute walk to downtown Athenry and the train station where it is super easy to catch a ride to Galway.

Summary: Well maintained, clean, close to town, and they have thought of everything you might need. Although we didnt cook there, the kitchen had everything someone might need to make a meal. Kitchen with four chairs in the kitchen area. Cozy seating with tv in the living room area. Bedroom was nice with a closet, dresser and a small bathroom. The windows were amazing letting in the beautiful light and a nice breeze. My wife was not a fan of the bed and said it was a bit hard. The bathroom was nice and up to date, and the shower had amazing water pressure. The space is in the owners backyard, so I felt like we were disturbing them whenever we came home after dark. Paul said we were fine, but we felt disrespectful.

Summary: We wanted a home away from home for a month while exploring the Galway area. Athenry is a charming small town a short drive from Galway. We did not have a car and were able to get bus or train for 20 min ride into Galway (15 min walk to station or bus stop). Paul and Susan were wonderful hosts, very responsive to our needs. Space is adequate with 2 couches, kitchen, etc. I found bed comfy but my husband thought it was hard. I have back problems so it worked fine for me. Kitchen has everything you need however it also has a very sensitive smoke alarm. Anything more than porridge will set it off. We adjusted to this but it did discourage more adventerous cooking. Highly recommend.

Summary: We have wanted to return to Athenry for two years. Paul's Garden house was exactly as advertised. Wonderfully laid out for being a bit self sufficient, with a great kitchen area, open concept with the living area and adorable bed/bathroom. The location for us was perfect. We love Athenry, but also very close to Galway and we also took a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher which are not too far away. As nice as the space and location are the best part was Paul. He was wonderful, friendly, helpful and just an all around gracious host. We would return to this place without hesitation. Greg
