No two days are ever the same, amazing views of Lake Ohau and the Southern Alps.
A great location for skiing, hiking, photography, cycling, water sports and day trips.
It is less than an hour from Mount Cook.
The house is very well equipped, the beds are made up ready for guests to relax and unwind.

Summary: We stayed at the property for five nights in early summer. The house is light infused and the massive windows from the lounge with deck look out over Lake Middleton and Lake Ohau with a field (full of lupin flowers) in foreground. The house is clean, well appointed and the owner's caring instructions and hints make for a really relaxing holiday. We went on several day walks into the bush and mountains. Lovely.

Summary: We had planned a ski holiday at Ōhau but experienced a considerable storm which resulted in the road being washed out two days after our arrival. Despite this, we had great support from the property owner, a maintenance contractor in the village, and a neighbour coordinating the Civil Defence operation. We were warm and well supplied and although not needed, we had the option to purchase supplies via Ōhau Lodge. It was a shame we weren’t able to ski but we had a much needed rest after moving house the previous week.
