Positive: 1) Location 2) View 3) Free private parking 4) Nice and simple style of interior (not flashy or tacky, just simple modern look). 5) Permission to stay with a dog.
Negative: 1) The apartment was dirty when we arrived and I had to do cleaning myself while waiting for a response from the host. He did apologized and offered a refund, but we asked him only to bring some clean towels and fresh bed linen, so he brought them. 2) The cheapest leaking teapot. 3) The lack of a microwave. 4) Cheap and dirty shower curtain. 5) Empty shampoo and soap dispensers (the booking description says that there are supposed to be free toiletries). 6) Cheap and see-through window curtains. 7) The washing machine promised in the descriptions is placed in a basement of the building, so it's not private. 8) Some kitchen tools useful for cooking were missing (spatula, whisk, etc.)
Summary: I wish I could leave a nice review, but the poor cleaning was a huge disappointment, alas.

Positive: Beautiful studio with modern decoration. The neighborhood was very quiet. Recommending to anyone who wants to go for a hike in Appenzell.
Negative: There was no shampoo. And street parking was not communicated clearly. But overall very nice place to stay
