Positive: The place literally has everything you need and more, from kitchen appliances to snorkelling gear. Our palapa was clean, quiet and yes hot, but for this you have A/C and a fan. The communication was perfect. Danita and her colleagues are super friendly and accommodating hosts.

Negative: Def mosquitoes. There was a net on top of the bad which I highly recommend to use but even with it I ended up bitten multiple times.

Positive: One of the best places you’ll ever stay at ! The grounds are beautifully lush, the little house is super comfortable with its own patio and outdoor kitchen, and the pool is amazing. They also have a shared full kitchen which guests can use, as well as excellent coffee available 24/7. It’s a family run business with wonderful staff. I’m a bad sleeper and really appreciated that the room is quiet at night (despite being in the jungle), dark when you close the shades, and nice and cool with AC and a fan. The location is central to explore the island, but you do need a car (and reserve it well in advance : all car rental services were sold out for our stay during carnival…).

Negative: Nothing: everything was wonderful.

Summary: Wonderful stay : we will be back !

The spacious cottages offer plenty of privacy, while the beautiful pool and shared outdoor kitchen create the perfect setting to unwind and connect with others. The atmosphere is laid-back, open, and welcoming — a place where you can truly slow down. Shaded by trees, the entire property stays pleasantly cool, even on sunny days. You’ll wake up to the sounds of tropical birds, spot colorful lizards throughout the grounds, and feel immersed in nature. Mondi Lodge also puts real effort into recycling and sustainability, which adds to the authentic and conscious island experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay that captures the true spirit of Curaçao, this is absolutely a place to book. Highly recommended.

Negative: Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

Positive: Heartwarming stay at Mondi Lodge – a little oasis I didn’t want to leave I had a truly wonderful stay at Mondi Lodge – from the first moment it already felt like a little home away from home. The lodge has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and you can feel the love and care that went into creating the place. Check-in was easy and personal, and communication with the host was always quick, clear and genuinely friendly. Nothing felt “standard” or rushed – they really take the time for you and are happy to help with tips for beaches, restaurants and things to do on the island. The bungalow was cozy, spotless and very comfortable. The bed slept great, the air conditioning worked well and the Wi-Fi was reliable. I also really liked the small kitchen setup, which made it easy to prepare something simple when I didn’t feel like going out. The bathroom was clean, with a good shower and enough towels. The location is perfect: nicely tucked away in nature so it feels peaceful and private, but still only a short drive to Willemstad, supermarkets and some of the most beautiful beaches. Having a rental car is definitely useful, and there was always safe parking available on the property. What I loved most about Mondi Lodge were all the small details: • The lush garden and the feeling of being surrounded by nature • The quiet, relaxed vibe – ideal to unwind after a day of exploring • The kindness and warmth of the people running the place Overall, my stay at Mondi Lodge was more than just “accommodation” – it was an experience. Positive: The staff at Mondi Lodge are an absolute treasure! We were welcomed with warm enthusiasm and left with genuine hugs. This little family is wonderful and we are going to miss them. It was lovely to sit by the pool & chat or have a dip late in the evening. The Yuana treehouse is beautifully incorporated into a giant ficus tree that has a lovely upper deck where you can enjoy the bird song. And there is plenty of bird song! We saw birds in many colours and sizes enjoying the flowers & trees. The landscaping creates a magical pocket of paradise 15 minutes from the city proper. It was a great way to enjoy the culture of Willemstad, local beaches, and the natural beauty of Curacao. For any under the LGBT flag, you have found a welcoming and safe space at Mondi Lodge.

Negative: I only wish I could have stayed longer. I made the mistake of splitting my week in Curacao between Mondi Lodge and another resort.
