Positive: The location, it was so nice to retreat to this magical place every evening. The room was cozy, and the bed comfortable. The owners would drop off coffee and water each day which was a lovely touch! My husband got sick with food poisoning and the owners were incredibly accommodating, extending our booking and ensuring we had everything we needed. We highly recommend!

Positive: The room is super comfortable, and the place is very beautiful. The staff asked every day if I wanted cleaning and They leave water and coffee by my door, which was really nice.

Negative: there was a strong smell of mold. The walls looked freshly painted (I think maybe they painted over the mold), but when I opened the window and used the AC, it didn’t bother me too much. Still, by the third day, I started feeling sick, and it lasted until I left. I wonder if that had something to do with it...

Positive: Beautiful little cabin type place with a lovely view over the rice fields and mountains. You could open the little window and look out from bed! Has a kettle in the room. Great outside communal areas with a platform and hammocks.

Negative: No filtered drinking water, only given one small bottle each day so you have to buy your own and not great environmentally. But that's the only downside. It's a 20 minute walk into town but we enjoyed the walk!

Negative: - broken lock at house door - shower and toilet outside - no hot water cause of broken water heater - the roosters have been crowing since 4:00 am - very bad road that leads to the house

Positive: Beautiful view from the room. Staff was very friendly. Property is full of beautiful outdoor sitting spaces, but there are signs all around saying you can’t sit there unless you buy something in the cafe, made us feel like we couldn’t enjoy the common spaces.

Negative: Our room didn’t feel clean, the sheets were very stained and we didn’t get towels. On the second day of our stay there was no one to be found anywhere on the property (the cafe was closed, bathrooms weren’t cleaned or restocked…). Location is far and up a steep hill from the center of the town, so unless you have a scooter, it’s a long, hot walk every time you leave the room.

Summary: Wouldn’t stay here again

Positive: Beautiful location, aesthetically pleasing, peaceful, minimalistic, lovely sunset location

Negative: It’s such a lovely spot but definitely needs a bit more organization in regard to communication and cleaning. Messages go unanswered on booking and they are under staffed. The cleanliness of the room could be improved, there was hair on the floor and sheets. With that said, it was still a magical experience and I believe these small things can be improved easily.
