Summary: We give this property five plus ratings across the board. We had five adults and one toddler at the house, having travelled down from New England to attend my niece’s wedding that was in this area of MD. The house and property are just beautiful and we had such a relaxing 3 days there. Our toddler grandson really enjoyed the children’s playground and the river that is located at the state park within walking distance of the house. We highly recommend this fabulous home!

Summary: The farmhouse was where my mother was born in 1928! The house was updated with modern conveniences but also has the history charm with the original wood floors and exposed ceilings. It looks exactly like the pictures. We were so excited to be able to say in my mother's birthplace on Mother's Day weekend. Beautiful house and well kept grounds!

Summary: We had such a great stay! Everything about the place exceeded our expectations. The property had lots of room to move around, and we had an absolutely gorgeous weekend weather wise, so several of the kids did a camp out around the fire pit and had a blast. If you've got a decent sized group and want a fun weekend away, I would highly recommend this place for you and your family

Summary: Our family decided to find an in-between place to meet up for Thanksgiving and chose Chris’s farmhouse based on the bedrooms and the kitchen. The entire home was perfect for us. We especially appreciated that each bedroom is a nice size with comfortable beds. The kitchen is phenomenal and has a lot of supplies on hand. We cooked a huge meal as easily as we would have in our own kitchens! Chris was very friendly and easy to be in contact with. The surrounding property is beautiful.

Summary: This farm property is simply stunning. It is spacious both inside the house, and on the property, with wide open spaces, fun things to do/play, a fire pit, and close to lots of activities. The house is updated inside with all the charm of an old house, but with a modern feel. It was clean and comfortable and stocked with anything one might need away from home. We traveled there in late October to see some fall colors with the changing leaves and it was just perfect. Our family was very comfortable there and the long dining room table was the perfect size to sit down and enjoy a meal together. We will definitely be going back!

Summary: We stayed here with friends and our kids ages 2-11 for a weekend. It was perfect. The boys loved the bunk beds and the yard was perfect for playing! The provisions are extremely thoughtful and the property is lovely. I can think of nothing that I would change!

Summary: Our family stayed at the farmhouse for the third time this weekend and had a wonderful time. The things we most enjoyed about the house were the tire swing, the fire pit and the long table where we shared meals. It is in a great location - convenient to Frederick, Catoctin Mountain National Park and Gettysburg. Chris is a very receptive host.

Summary: During a week devoted to a dying relative in Hospice care, this beautiful home gave our family members refuge from the difficulties and decisions we were facing. We especially loved the rural setting and the combining of rustic with modern inside. It was truly one of the most well appointed kitchens we have ever encountered in a vrbo home which was a great help as we prepared meals at all hours. It was a peaceful spot for our family to unwind together. Thank you.

Summary: Would reccomend this for folks who love a quiet country experience. Bathrooms were fine for my group (5 adult men). But may cause problems for those who don't wish to share bathroom facilities.
