Positive: The view was exceptional. The property is in the perfect location in Castelmazzano to do the Flight of Angels, 'Volo dell’Angelo'. The private parking provided is a great bonus. The staff at Monserrat Villa was very friendly and made food to suit our taste.

Positive: The location and the onsite restaurant (and their staff) are amazing however the communication with the hotel owners is extremely difficult and minimal. The rooms are very basic.

Negative: Additional cost for use of air conditioning, no kettle or microwave in room.

Positive: Great location, steep terrain but doable. Authentic property, quiet with great views. A magical place for a once in a lifetime experience, small town feeling with a tight knit community. Town at night with the lighting is dreamy!

Negative: Had trouble getting the hot water to work in the shower & not a lot of staff around.

Summary: A once in a lifetime experience & a must see.

Positive: The view was great but now awesome (picky as I am a photographer). Owner was awesome and could not be friendlier despite our inadequate Italian. Walk to village downhill so the walk back get your heartbeat up (which is a good thing). View from village awesome.

Positive: The location is great with a wonderful view! Parking on the side. Very welcoming host. Clean and good value for what you pay.

Negative: We didn’t read the description and wasn’t aware that we had to pay for the control for air conditioning . When we realize it it was too late to have it. So we didn’t have air conditioning working.
