Positive: Spacious and well equipped property. Plenty of good quality kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery. Interior clean and tidy. Easy to use microwave, cooker, coffee machine etc. TV and WiFi worked fine. Quiet and secluded. Silvia a friendly and helpful host who met us on time as agreed.
Negative: Off the beaten track, some 10km to Ourique and only found using satnav coordinates. Main problem was that the washing machine was not working and we arrived with only one change of clean clothes. Silvia did offer to do some washing for us but already late by this time and did not want to transfer a pile of wet clothes to another property and washer. Resorted to hand wash in the bath. Access road a bit rough and surroundings overgrown although recognising this was late February. Shower not thermostatic and not easy to control, also over a bath with a shower curtain that was difficult to keep watertight. Quite a number of broken window panes that could do with replacements. Unheated pool next door available but not used .

Positive: We stayed two weeks at this fabulous country property in June 2023. The two bedroom cottage has 2 large bedrooms with high ceilings, one with ensuite, the other makes use of the main bathroom, the 2 bedroom cottage would easily suit a family of 4.. parents and two kids. The kitchen and lounge are spacious and well laid out. The owners are lovely and Sylvia was there to greet us when we arrived and both Marco and Sylvia arrived to see us off when we left. The property benefits from modern reversible air conditioning in each room, a large country kitchen and fiber optic internet/tv. Here you are surrounded by nature and wildlife, with birds and storks flying around, sheep passing nearby and a lovely white horse under an olive tree not far away. The private land is quite large and each of the two units has its own gate with remote.(ours was the two bedroom cottage, the other is a 3-4 bedroom house). The pool area is lovely and pool was 29 degrees when with was 42 out :). You are 8 mins from Ourique, 45 mins to Vila Nova da Milfontes and 50 mins to the beaches of the Algarve. I would highly recommend this as a place to explore Baixo Alentejo, Beja, Mertola, Almodovar and Castro Verde are all short drives away.

Summary: Just fabulous, feels like home right away and you'll miss it when you leave.
