Positive: Rooms were clean, and the pool area was nice. The owner was friendly, we had a good chat about moto guzzi motorcycles which is why I was in Lecco as they are built up the road in mandello del lario. Reasonable English spoken even with my poor Italian we understood each other, my main foreign language is Spanish, so a lot of Italian words are similar. Good view of the lake from my room. Good sized balcony.
Negative: About a 25 minute walk from the town up a good sized hill, in 27°c that was exhausting. Only found out after I had booked that food and alcohol were not allowed on the property, which I found a bit strange. Maybe the owner has had problem guests in the past, wasn't a game changer for me as I was only there a couple of nights
Summary: Pleasant stay

Positive: The room was really clean. The location is quiet and with a very beautiful view. There was flexibility on adding a guest.
Negative: The online communication wasn't really working. There wasn't even a single bottle of water as a welcoming. There weren't towels for the added guest. There isn't good sound insulation.

Positive: Beautiful location and everything looks just like in pictures. Swimming pool is awesome with view of mountains. Hosts were really friendly and helpful, gave some advice about travel to mountain and arranged smooths and early change of room (same room was not available for all three days).
Negative: Overall it would be great that rules such as no food allowaned or swimming pool hours would be listed in the rules in advance and not announced after the booking. Swimming pool closes 19h. For me such hours are not new but always worth knowing when choosing place. In case you're in property after this hours only, you may as well just choose something simpler, as can not enjoy the facilities which you pay extra cost for, anyways.

Positive: Superb place with unbelievable views and fantastic pool
Negative: You need to eat before you arrive as there is no food available on the property and is a bit out of town so nothing available nearby until after 6/7

Positive: The room is really clean, breakfast was really good! The view from property is exceptional
Negative: The staff barely speak English, we have difficulty and misunderstanding. The location is half our walking from the center. Barely seen any place to eat in the neighbourhood and we couldn't eat at the property.
Summary: This is literally bed and breakfast. Better be outside the property the whole day :)

Positive: Montebello Lake is an absolute gem on Lake Como, offering SUPER views that’ll have you pinching yourself to believe they're real. Waking up here is like stepping into a postcard, with the lake right there, looking all magical in the morning mist. Then there’s the swimming pool – oh, it’s something else! It’s like your personal piece of paradise, blending right into the lake scenery. The pool's always sparking clean and just the right kind of cool, making every dip unforgettable. And if you’re into nature, you’ve hit the jackpot. The place is surrounded by greenery, making it super easy to step outside and get lost in the beauty of it all. Montebello Lake is more than just a stay – it’s a whole vibe, perfect for chilling and soaking in those good, tranquil feels.
