Positive: Great location in the centre of the old town. Quirky place. Soft bed that I was not sure would be comfortable but it was.

Negative: Its half way down a street that is a long flight of stairs - the host helped with the luggage but tricky when leaving. Its a bit dark inside but I think that goes with the eclectic/lived in style of decoration

Positive: Apartment is cute, has character. Location is also great - short distance to a lot of Lyon attractions. Metro is not too far either.

Negative: Maybe it’s me not knowing French, but nowhere in the description of the apartment it is explained that it is located not on a regular street but on a very long stretch of stairs between two streets. If you have heavy suitcases, and we had a couple, you will need to carry those up and down 60 steps or so. Apartment is also rather dark, and you can’t keep the curtains open because the windows look at the street/stairs and there is always foot traffic there.

Positive: Fantastic location. Surrounded by cafes, restaurants and museums. The apartment was very eclectic with a range of artwork and furniture. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was fitted out with everything you would need.

Negative: A little dark and dusty but as soon as we arrived we opened up the windows to let the fresh air and light in. Noisy on the Friday night with a club next door but didn’t worry us. The 53 stairs to get to the front door was fine.

Summary: Relaxing stay in the best position in the old town of Lyon.
