Summary: We stayed at maybe the loveliest time of year, with loads of spring flowers and birdsong in the mornings. It would be a lovely place in the summer too because the garden is shady with beautiful mature trees. Communication with the owner was perfect, she called to check what time we would be arriving and arranged for us to be met on arrival. The house is well-equipped with everything you need to cook for a family and there were copious amounts of clean towels for us and the beds were made up and even though the nights were unseasonably cold we were very cosy. There was loads of hot water. The bedrooms got the sun in the morning and the living room in the evening. The setting is perfect, there are fields opposite to admire or walk around, great birdwatching opportunities, amazingly tranquil but really close to major tourist attractions like Chenonceau and Amboise; we also visited Zoo de Beauval. Loads of great restaurants in the area. We had such a relaxing stay here and were welcomed so kindly. Thank you so much for a lovely break.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment had everything we needed and was lovely and cool on the hottest days. The garden, secure storage for our bikes and access to the beautiful pool were great bonuses too. The accommodation was beautifully clean and Madame Renard was extremely friendly and very hospitable, our only regret was that our French language skills were not as they were before covid, so we were sorry that we could not converse well. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay in a great location

Summary: The cottage is well equipped and very well located. Quiet, but close to all kinds of attractions. Within walking distance of a large supermarket and close to the village. The only thing that disappointed us was that we stayed on the attic floor of the house, while we thought we had rented the whole house, with doors opening onto a terrace. However, there are two houses, of which the upper house is rented out. This is not clear from the translation of the description from French to Dutch, nor is it clear from the photos. The attic house is accessible via a long staircase to the entrance, and another staircase from the front door to the living area. This is not ideal for older people. Apart from this, we had an excellent stay!

Summary: We had a lovely situation by the cornfields outside Montrichard. The house stayed cool even in very hot weather. It was very still and quiet. We heard the owls every evening. The cottage was thoughtfully supplied, including the little things you would need, such as coffee filters, matches, washing tablets, and so on. It was well placed for visits to Chambord, Amboise, Chenonceau and St Aignan, and Tours. Our only reservation was about the request for a 200 euro deposit, which came at the last minute. This was a lot of money to be without during our week's stay. It was handed back on the last day before we left. Anybody takng this property to see Loire et Cher, and visit the chateaux, would be very pleased that they had made an excellent choice . So many thanks.

Summary: The apartment in the attic level of the cottage was clean, comfortable and adequately equipped. The rear access to the property required climbing steps to the upper level, we had no access from the front of the property. This would make the property unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. We spent our evenings sitting in the lovely garden which is very tranquil as are the immediate surroundings. The property is ideally located for visiting not only the numerous chateaus in the area but the dozens of small villages and towns that are well worth exploring and of course the regions vineyards. Overall the property was very good value for money and we would not hesitate to return.

Summary: Everything we needed and more. Very well situated for visiting the lovely Loire Valley, towns, Chateaus. Equally as comfortable to sit in the yard and look over the green fields while listening to birds and sipping wine! Extremely friendly and helpful hosts.
