Summary: This hidden gem was amazing. If we pass by this way again we will definitely try to stay here again! I was looking for a room with a nice ocean view since this was kind of a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I came across this and said "why not?" Best decision I could have made. When you pull up in the parking lot, it doesn't seem that impressive. When we went into the room, that's where the establishment shines. The room was cozy and comfortable. It had everything you could possibly think of on hand. The view was so breathtaking. It was a bit chilly outside when we arrived, but that didn’t stop us from sitting out on the porch and watching the waves and the sunset. We just had the temp set indoors so we were nice and warm once we came in. It was an easy drive to find food. It was a great location to explore more of the Coast. I just wish we had more time to spend here because there was so much to see and do. The room itself was quiet. We didn’t hear much noise from neighbors and the place seemed full. We were very sad to leave. We had a really nice chat with the proprietor when we were checking out. It's nice to feel like you spent your money wisely and staying here accomplished that for sure. My only complaint was the fact that sand follows you everywhere after you've been walking in it. I think we're still finding it and we've been home for over a month! It was easy access to the beach, so the sand is entirely on us... In short, great place to stay. No regrets!

Summary: This seems to be the last hotel/motel on the north end of Newport, where the space between Hwy 101 and the beach narrows. Moolack Shores Inn rests on a low cliff, with stairs direct to Moolack Beach. The beach is unique from others around it, with a fascinating variety of rocky formations and tide pools, and few people. These features, and views from rooms at the inn are the big wins. Couple of things to note: The gaslit modern fire pit shown online is really just a pit for a wood fire - just fine but you must supply wood so pick it up on your way. Also, if you’re bringing a dog, ask for the paperwork up front. Overall, the inn is quirky in a mostly fun way, and quite comfortable. Beach is pure magic.

Summary: This was a great place right in the ocean. Friendly staff with easy check in and out. The room was a bit outdated and worn but very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that WiFi never worked. All in all it was a good stay and I would recommend.

Summary: Very quirky property, but the location can't be beat for the price. It was a quick walk down the property stairs (~50) to get onto the beach where we could wander for hours during the super low tide. Exceptionally clean. Nice to have a kitchen. Bed was comfy but noisy (very thick tarp like mattress cover). Electric fireplace seemed like a nice touch but didn't work after about 60 seconds, despite numerous resets. All in all would stay again purely for the beach access.
