Imagine waking to views of a stunning sunrise over Moreton Bay, from your bed! Or enjoying a cocktail on the balcony in the afternoon while the kids play basketball at the courts across the road. This home is equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing and memorable stay in stunning Scarborough, Queensland. Located a stone's throw from the beach, the views from upstairs and downstairs are incredible. In the morning, wander across the road to the cafe for a coffee and meander down to one of the various parks and facilities for kids. Of an evening walk up the street for an array of restaurants including Japanese and Vietnamese, takeaway and even a brewhouse. There is no need for a car, once you get an Uber the 25 mins from the airport, you won't need to drive for anything for the rest of your stay! Summary: We had a very lovely stay in this home during the Christmas holidays. The area is nice and quiet and has fabulous access to the beach front, a little park and a jumping pillow. It was a lot of fun for the kids. When we stayed, the hosts had provided kayaks, which were super fun to paddle around with. The beach itself has a lot of rocks, especially close to where the house is (as you go further up the beach, it becomes less rocky), so be aware of that. The house was great for a holiday home and the hosts have done a nice job of trying to add some touches that will make it comfortable for families- including providing some toys in the play room. The dining table is absolutely fabulous- everyone can sit down at the same time. They have done a good job of providing outdoor areas to sit as well. There is a pharmacy, a small grocer and a couple of take out shops within very easy walking distance (we ordered from the fish and chips shop a couple of times and it was very good). The driveway was a little intimidating as it is very narrow between the fence and the house, but we were able to drive two Prados up the driveway, use the garage to turn around and exit without any problems. The privacy in the master bedroom does leave a little something to be desired as the doors to the bedroom itself as well as to the master bathroom are glass. It wasn't ideal, but not too big of a problem. Overall, I would definitely recommend. We had a great stay.
