Welcome to Mossrock, a newly built 4500 sq.ft luxury all season retreat located on Redstone Lake just 20 minutes north of Haliburton Village. Known as the 'Jewel of Haliburton', Redstone is a 3-lake chain famous for its stunning scenery and pristine clean waters.
This stunning 4-bedroom, 5 bathroom cottage rests on 5 private acres of forest with 400 feet of waterfront in a sheltered bay that's great for swimming! Your luxury retreat awaits in this year round escape just 2.5 hours north of the GTA.
Mossrock Retreat offers a spacious open-concept floor plan. Granite flooring from the local Canadian Shield welcomes you at the front entrance and invites you into the stunning great room that offers sprawling views of Redstone Lake. The kitchen features a large quartz top island that seats 4 and a solid maple live edge dining table that seats 10. The chef's kitchen is fully equipped to entertain and enjoy the company of your family and friends. There is a sunroom off the kitchen that has heated flooring and some comfy furniture that are great for relaxing after dinner or curling up to a book while taking in the views. The great room has a soaring pine ceiling with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace (gas) with comfortable seating for everyone to gather and watch a show on the 75-inch television. Just off the great room is the first primary bedroom with a 5-piece ensuite, large walk-in shower, a king bed with luxurious bedding, a walk-in closet and a gorgeous lake view.
The upstairs opens to a large loft area overlooking the great room with a seating area and desk for working remotely. Two mirrored primary bedrooms with ensuites, walk-in showers and large walk-in closets are located opposite of each other. The upstairs king bedroom suites have beautiful lake views and all of the amenities you'd expect to find in a luxury hotel room.
The lower level has a well-designed bathroom that is shared by the double bunk room for the kids. A wood burning stove and heated flooring throughout the lower level keeps you nice and toasty on cold winter days. Enjoy some after dinner cocktails at Mossrock Tavern, your own private bar with granite counters, 60-inch TV, leather sofa and a raised bar top that's perfect for playing bartender!
The outdoors is what dreams are made of! You are living amongst nature at Mossrock with the natural beauty of several hundred acres of untouched forest surrounding the property. The area is known for its rolling landscapes and wonderful hiking. The private forest setting on stunning Redstone Lake gives you a perfect getaway from it all. The lake is deep, weed-free and very clean, perfect for swimming and exploring. A stone staircase leads you to the lake where a large deck area and 20'x20' dock invite you to soak in the experience. After a dip in the lake there's a 7-person covered hot tub that's great for any season. Enjoy the large outdoor firepit in the evening to roast the perfect marshmallow and gaze at the incredible stars.
For small groups of up to 6 guests or less we have the 3-bedroom rental. All bedrooms have king beds and private ensuite. It has a separate listing posted on Vrbo and accommodates a small group size for less money than this listing.

Summary: This is my families second time visiting Mossrock and we loved it so much the first time that we brought another family with us. Mossrock is so spacious and luxuriously appointed that there was more than enough room for the 8 people. One of my group is a real foodie and he was thoroughly impressed with how outfitted the kitchen was. There is so much to do when at Mossrock! We enjoyed the beautiful winter vistas, created an ice skating rink on the frozen lake, had lunch cookout at the firepit, and plenty of sledding!!! Can't wait to return - maybe during the summer this time!

Summary: 5-stars don't begin to cut how perfect our stay was. Even before we arrived Anita made sure we had all the information we needed to make our stay the best possible with recommendation on what to do and helping us plan on what we needed to bring. The pictures on the location posting don't do this location justice, it's even more breathtaking the moment you walk in. Not only is the home and location beautiful, but you can see the passion the owners have put in building this home in every corner of the home. Everyday we would find a new 'easter-egg' details around that just made it so cozy. The owners have also thought about all the accessories you would need in the kitchen/bar to have great meals/drinks and the bedrooms are pristine. Thank you, Anita! We can't wait to be back!

Summary: Every year for the past 10 my husband and I have rented a cottage for 4 day weekend to spend with our two sons and their girlfriends, now wives and now a grandchild! This was the best place we have ever rented! It was wonderful, high end , nothing was missing! The hosts Anita and Andrew were fantastic and have thought of everything one may need to have a luxury, entertaining cottage. We loved it and will have to return and rent for a week maybe next time!

Summary: We've rented a few cottages recently, and normally the photos are well staged and angled to make everything look better or bigger than it really is. Not the case here, this cottage is the real deal, exactly, and possibly even better, than it shows in the listing. As well as being an exceptional property there is an outstanding attention to detail in how its furnished and how it is set up for your arrival and stay. The owners are very responsive and friendly too. There is plenty of space for a multiple family stay, and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are large. If mobility is an issue for you, accessing the dock might be a challenge, as the cottage is situated on an incline, but beyond that I cannot think of any reason anyone would not have the happiest stay ever here. Please look after this cottage, and keep it as a gem. We are already looking forward to returning.
