Jack's Retreat - completed Feb 2018! Our cabin provides a peaceful, private getaway in the mountains, but is still only a 23 minute drive to downtown Asheville. It offers 3 bedrooms (master on the main floor and 2 bedrooms on the lower level).
The master bedroom has a king bed and the en-suite bathroom has a glass shower with a pebble-floor. And a big rain shower-head. The downstairs bedrooms both have one queen bed and share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom with a tiled tub/shower.
The cabin faces south, so sunshine is abundant on sunny days and sunrises/sunsets can be viewed from the rockers and swing on the decks.
The hot tub is accessible from the lower level deck - it sits out in the open; you can enjoy a nightly soak under the stars or savor the mountain views during the day.
We named this cabin after our son, Jack, born 2014. He played a big part in the building process.
With all modern amenities, one won't need to leave the cabin, but the surrounding area has so much to offer to the adventurous at heart. Conveniently located 23 minutes to downtown Asheville (Merrimon Avenue exit off I-240), 18 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 24 minutes to Biltmore Estate, 20 minutes to Black Mountain, 32 minutes to Chimney Rock/Lake Lure and 40 minutes to Hendersonville, this quiet getaway is still close to all the attractions and activities.

Summary: Beautiful views!! I loved that we weren’t staring at other properties close to us. It made you feel secluded and gave you privacy, but there were other properties just at the end of the driveway which was nice to know someone wasn’t far in case. Cabin was very clean and rooms and bathrooms were perfect. My only feedback would be the living room area was smaller than I expected from the picture so all 6 of us couldn’t sit comfortably to chat, but with the open concept we were still able to all gather together.

Summary: This beautiful cabin exceeded our expectations! Everything was spotless on our arrival, and Lisa communicated with us to ensure that all of our needs were met and that we were well cared for. The hot tub and porch swing were favorite features.

Summary: Our family had the best time at Jack's Retreat cabin! Our kids are 12, 10, and 8, and they loved the hot tub, games, porch, and mountain views. We stayed for a couple of days during spring break, and found its proximity to local hikes and to Asheville was just the right balance of solitude and fun. Lisa was so easy to work with, and we loved every minute! Can't recommend it highly enough!

Summary: This was my first time booking a VRBO and staying in one. Summary: Beautiful cabin, inside and out!! Sitting on the front porch in the rocking chair, drinking my coffee, watching the sun rise over the mountains was definitely my favorite…. But the rainfall shower and fireplace definitely topped off my stay:) The jacuzzi was perfect and very clean as well!! Very close to Asheville! Views are amazing!!
