View for days! This unique property has a view of Palm Springs to the north and Santa Rosa Mountains to the south. It's located in Springcrest where there are many fresh water springs on the mountain. The springs do in fact supply the water to the house. It doesn't get much better than that! It has a very remote feeling but is only a 20 minute drive from Palm Desert where there the famous El Paseo Shopping Center sits with wonderful restaurants, beauty care, and shopping. There are great hiking and mountain biking trails that lead right out of the property. Ask about mountain bike shuttle service for the world famous Palm Canyon Epic Trail. There are also over 100 golf courses in the Coachella Valley down the hill to select from. There are two houses on the property. One is a two bedroom two bath and the other is a one bedroom one bath.

Summary: When my son asked me why I had chosen Palm Desert for a stay, I told him, "I long to see the night sky away from the city lights" This location did not disappoint. With a houseful of teens who have school and part time jobs, we needed to have a few days of Nothing to do, and Nowhere to go. The long weekend was great!

Summary: The location of the Springcrest Chalet couldn't be better if you are planning to do the Palm Canyon Epic. Plus there are many more trails in the vicinity for multiple days of riding. The house has just about everything you need and the views can't be beat. David our host went above and beyond in helping with our shuttling and even delivered a rental bike to the house. He is a wealth of information on any trail details you might need. It was a fantastic stay in a beautiful place.

Summary: I booked this property wanting to see stars as I planned my girlfriends' trip around a car trip with my telescope. No stars were to be seen, but plenty of wind and snow and cold weather! With climate change happening these days, come prepared if you book this property during the winter months. Also, I lost my cell connection (T-Mobile) as I got closer to the house and wasn't able to access the door entry codes. We had to drive back down the hill for about 20 minutes to get a signal. The downstairs heater in the main house was inadequate and the tile floors made it more uncomfortable for us. We were freezing! The gas fireplace did not work for us and there was inadequate directions on operating the heat and fireplace. More information in the binder would be helpful. We actually were snowed in for 24 hours and left a day early because we were so uncomfortable with the cold. We appreciated the staples and food items available. David was available by email or text and arranged for a repairman to come but we never saw him and the fireplace never got fixed while we were there. He also offered to come shovel us out if need be. We notified David we were leaving a day early and sent him an email describing our experience in more detail and we still have not heard back from him.

Summary: Location was a bit more remote than expected. However, we enjoyed the amazing sky full of stars being this remote provided. It was a very wet & windy weekend which we liked. Saw multiple rainbows. It wasn’t clear from the property’s description that there were two chalets rather than one for everyone to share. I think that should be more obvious. All in all a lovely weekend.

Summary: Had a nice time. During the day enjoyed small hikes and outings to Idyllwild other local attractions. In the evenings enjoyed our meals and family games. Very chill vibe.

Summary: Super cute secluded chalet that over looked the mountains. Property was beautiful. Coffee was amazing! We took our kids, probably wouldn’t do that again. Nice little getaway, though.

Summary: Such a cool place!! Having two houses was awesome as my daughter had just gotten married and they got the chalet for their "honeymoon suite". The place was very well stocked with everything you could need but the very best part is the AMAZING VIEW! Seemed it went on for miles. It was a perfect getaway!!! Also David was a very attentive host and a pleasure to deal with.

Summary: The Springcrest Chalet is nothing short of spectacular! As soon as you arrive at the property you are greeted with the cool crisp air and smells of rosemary. Located just 20 minutes outside of Palm Desert, the location is convenient but feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle. The property is lined with fresh herbs and plants, beautiful boulders, and gorgeous sweeping views. Sitting perched up on the mountain, the drive up to the property felt exclusive and rich. Premier lot with a straight site into the canyon overlooking the faint lights of Palm Springs. Mountain bikers have first class trails on the Palm Canyon Epic within peddling distance. Hiking trails are abundant as well. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the wide deck overlooking an orange and purple sky. The house came stocked with all of the essentials for cooking. Idyllwild is 30 mins away and was a fun and easy day trip! Lake Hemet is 15 minutes away. Bedding was very comfortable and all rooms were equipped with AC/heat units. The host is very passionate about the surrounding area so he can help you plan out a trip full of local experiences! If you’re into mountain biking, the owner has done a lot of trail improvements - he’s even got a mountain biking trail leading from the lot! We throughly enjoyed our weekend getaway and will be back soon!

Summary: The home was a perfect location for us to go on a hike at the near by Pacific crest trail. Home came with all the amenities we wanted and more. The view off the deck and room was amazing! You could see all the way to the valley floor of Palm Springs. We will be back.
