Summary: I’ve stayed on this ranch for quite a few years now. Have enjoyed every visit and have had no regrets. A new TV was a nice addition, as I was able to stream videos in the afternoon and evening after a day hunting on the hills. Rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The property owners are easy to contact and they always want you to have a pleasurable stay. Thank you Melanie and Joe. The ranch managers, Brit and Jake, are great people. Very attentive, and just good people overall.

Summary: The house was very clean and well kept. Brit and Jake, the ranch managers, were terrific. Enjoyed talking with both of them. Also their wonderful dog Molly. The elk were a little sparse, but that’s why it’s called hunting and not shopping. I have harvested 2 elk myself in the past few years during this same time of the year. We did hear several, but the elk were not in a talkative mood. Had a great time exploring the property in our search for the elk. Wouldn’t hesitate doing it again.

Summary: I lived on this ranch when I was in high school 35 years ago, and knew what to expect from the ranch, and the guest house. Other than needing a few upgrades, it was great! Plenty of room for us all. The ranch manager Jacob, and his wife Brit were absolutely the best hosts we could have asked for. Brit went out of her way to provide us with extra chairs for a dinner, and even let us tour the ranch house (where we lived) and the outbuildings. Took my kids up into the mountains to show them "where daddy grew up" and gave them a new appreciation for this beautiful place. The house was comfortable, and had almost every amenity we needed. Melanie and Joe were gracious in letting my family come here for less than the minimum stay because of our history with Little Valley Ranch. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to unwind and relax on a true to life working Montana cattle ranch.

Summary: Our group of 4 had a nice experience on the ranch this year. Plenty of room to roam in the search for elk. The elk were fairly scattered throughout the property. However, through perseverance and many miles on the hills, we were able to harvest 2 bull elk during our bow hunt. The extensive roads allowed us to pack out both bulls in short order. The terrain allows for hunting of many different physical abilities. Although, for the best hunting, be prepared to hike some hills. During our hunt we saw a grizzly bear, a mountain lion and a wolf. The wolf was encountered at 14 yards during an elk stalk. Too bad we didn't have a tag for the wolf. The ranch house was spacious and comfortable. The security deposit was promptly refunded after our stay. Thank you for the opportunity to hunt and stay at the ranch.
