Positive: Location was beautiful on the river, room was excellent, breakfast was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful and got us dinner on order
Negative: Only thing we don’t like was on arrival there wasn’t really anyone to greet us so it was a bit confusing, also all restaurants were shut (not all the hotels fault of course) but the hotels restaurant was one of those putting us in a problem for food which was later resolved.
Summary: Very nice place, would recommend

Positive: The setting was terrific as was the staff. Our main room was comfortable.
Negative: The bathroom was very small and arranged in an awkward way, particularly for those of us who are not so limber as before.

Positive: There is nothing to not like here! The hotel is located in a forest of plane trees with rushing water from the springs at the source of the Aroanios river on the south-west side of Mt Chelmos. In warm weather you can eat on the terrace outside beside the river in the shade of the plane trees - perfect when Athens and other lowland cities are sweltering in the summer heat! Our host was very friendly and extremely helpful, and she had good advice about things to see in the local area. Our room was large, with a sofa, small table and desk with chairs, a wide double bed and a small refrigerator with mini-bar. The balcony also had a table and chairs and overlooked a huge plane tree and the restaurant terrace beside the rushing river. The bathroom was small, but very clean and functional with a good shower. The restaurant is truly superb, with high-quality, creative yet traditional Greek cuisine, using local products (e.g. trout from the fish farm a few km downriver), and is open for breakfast (from 8:30 am), and lunch (until at least 5 pm), but not dinner later in the evening (if you want that, the small town of Klitoria is 10 minutes' drive away). There are nice walks suitable for different abilities all around the area, and if you are fit and seeking something really adventurous, the E4 long-distance footpath passes by the hotel.
Negative: Really, there is nothing we did not like!

Positive: Amazing effort by the young hosts to offer a top-notch service. (That's besides the wonderful setting.) Possibly the best breakfast we have ever been offered - beautifully presented.
Negative: (There was no kitchenette in our triple room, which we had banked on, but we managed.)

Positive: Being close to nature, the sound of the river. The welcome liquor. Cleans and comfy beds.
Negative: Would have been nice to get some water offered upon arrival as many other hotels do in Greece. The way up to this hotel is long and curvy mountain road. Many bees that will visit you during your breakfast outdoors. No proper AC for summer nights and the mosquito net was broken.
Summary: Probably nice location during ski season

Positive: This super pet-friendly guesthouse is just across an enchanting sycamore forest and the Aroanios river. Beautiful surroundings to take strolls and drink mountain water directly from the springs. Aroanides is run by a family and they’re all pleasant and hospitable. Our room was spacious and clean. Nice set of toiletries and a mini bar. Rich breakfast and a great chef. Try his orange cheesecake! Not to forget the great Tendura liquor welcome in our room and the village’s oregano we were offered upon our departure. We recommend this guesthouse to people who love their isolation and those who love traveling with their furry family for great walks in nature🐾🐾
Negative: The bathroom was dysfunctional and extremely small. The basin was missing its plug so once the soap fell in, it stayed there. The shower bar was rusty. Really a pity for such a new property. All rooms watch the road which (at least in summer when we visited) is frequently busy with trucks and cars passing by disrupting the peace and quiet of the forest and lovely river. No way you would leave a window open if you wanted peace during the day. At night, the guesthouse has no night manager, restaurant closes early, the area is deserted which is good and bad.
Summary: Overall a good and very pet-friendly stay (some things can be improved)
