This very unique property shows off its value with the most spectacular view of the mountain married beautifully with the ease of accessibility to get to it. No steep and winding roads with difficult access of entry. We have the most breathtaking mountain view of 6 of the 8 peaks and ski trails at Sunday River from almost every window!
Our brand new kitchen has state of the art cabinetry, all new appliances, and gives you a great place to hang out with an open concept to our family room with fireplace. The chef in your group will be delighted to be able to prepare meals while still feeling a part of the day's excitement! The extra space in the game room offers another great space to hang out, watch TV and play ping pong.
Base price includes up to 10 people and 5 bedrooms (2 Kings/2 Queens/ 5th bedroom with 2 Twins. 12 people have 6 bedrooms with the additional being a King. Smaller groups may add this 6th bedroom on for an additional fee. Ask Julie for more details.

Summary: The host was very welcoming and receptive. The house was very nice with an amazing view of Sunday River. We travelled with a group of 6 and the house was very comfortable, and had plenty of room. We especially loved the location of the house. It was an easy drive, and very close to Sunday River.

Summary: Beautiful stay at this lovely home overlooking the mountain. The photos are accurate and everything was comfortable. The kitchen could use a little updating as there weren’t great pots and pans etc. but we made do.

Summary: Very well restored home (from late 1700's) in a great location. Lots of room to spread out. Wonderful views. I suspect it would be even better in the summer and fall for a family. Easy winter drive to the Jordan or South Ridge; truly 5 minutes.

Summary: Fantastic stay at this property - very cozy home moments away from the slopes. Visited with a group of 12 and we all fit in very nicely. With only two bathrooms for that many people, we had to be very disciplined with toilet times, but otherwise it worked out ok. Wonderful kitchen dining room, great for hosting large meals and playing board games.

Summary: Fabulous, as if we rented our own estate for the weekend! , best views around, we felt as if we were still at the mountain even though we were actually enjoying the view from the Mountain House! A cozy fire, plenty of room and lots of wildlife, just a gorgeous ski weekend. If there's an opening next year, we will be back!

Summary: This house has an excellent location minutes from the slopes. The home had ample space for 6 adults. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out. Central kitchen for dining & entertainment. Gas fireplace kept us toasty! Ping pong table was a plus . Julie the owner was accessible and very helpful on a few of our needs. Great place for a winter getaway!

Summary: My husband and I are not from New England so this getaway was the complete opposite of what we’re use to coming from Georgia. Our stay at Mountain House was so relaxing, quiet and enjoyable. The fact that we didn’t even have to leave the property to enjoy views we’ve only seen online or in magazines was amazing. The property was clean and well maintained, any questions I had the owner answered right away. We will definitely be back to enjoy the breathtaking views of Sunday River right from the front window.
