Hickory House is perfectly suited for peaceful reflection on the day’s adventures from skiing, snowboarding, icesckating & tubing to fishing, kayaking, biking, and hiking. Relax after the day’s adventure on our deck while the sun sets over the mountain.
Minutes from Bryce ski resort and Bryce Mountain, Mount Jackson, Lake Laura, Copper Kettle, Smiley’s Kustard (seasonal), Freeds Biscuits, Rhouse Cafe, Woodstock Garden Cafe, Woodstock Brewhouse, multiple wineries and much more! Skiing, tubing, ice skating, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, driving range, caving, wineries, brew pubs, boating, and fishing are all nearby. Hickory House is in the middle of it all!
Hickory house offers one King, two Queen and one full size beds with linens and towels for 8 provided. In the winter months (November - February warm cozy flannel sheets are provided). Central air conditioning and heating with supplemental wall and baseboard heating in every room along with extra blankets for cuddling on the couch are provided for those cold winter nights. For hot summer nights their are additional fans provided to keep you cool. A dehumidifier and air purifier are also provided for your comfort.
Hickory House comes equipped with kitchen basics so you can whip up your favorite meal. A dishwasher is provided for easy after meal cleanup. Also, and most importantly, a Keurig with K-cups for individual coffee tastes, a large coffee carafe that makes 4 cups and a large 10 cup coffee maker for groups and a large selection of Tazo teas are provided for your caffeine fix.
Basement hangout for kids and adults with foosball table, darts, games, and a wet bar, BluRay and DVD movies, board games, Atari, Turbografx, Nintendo and Sega video games are sure to keep you and your family and friends entertained. A SmartTV with access to a Roku and an AppleTV are provided on the main floor and an AppleTV and a BluRay player are provided on the larger basement SmartTV (use your own accounts) for late night binging! On the main floor a Amazon echo is provided for music streaming (use your own accounts).
Hickory House is a place for an unplugged vacation but if you must - High speed (150mbs) WiFi is provided!
A gas grill and a gas fire pit for making evening memories and enjoying s’mores a are provided. A gas tank is provided with the grill and fire pit along with a spare, but there is no guarantee that the tank will have gas in it. Each guest is requested to fill it up if it is empty or becomes empty during their stay. We will refund you the cost of the refill.
Cleaning
We have fully implemented Airbnb's 5-step enhanced COVID-19 cleaning protocols. These include:
1) Scheduling gaps between guests
2) Ventilating rooms before and during cleaning
3) Washing all linens at the highest heat setting
4) Cleaning and disinfecting all hard surfaces with special attention to high-touch items

A few items to note:
1) All bedding, linen and towels are provided.
2) Free use of full size washer and dryer is provided.
3) The driveway has room for 3 vehicles and parking on the front yard is available for a 4th vehicle. Please do not park on the street as you will be ticketed.
4) There is no cable or satellite TV provided. Use the SmartTVs, AppleTV, and Roku to access your favorite streaming services (use your own accounts).

Summary: The house was perfect for our family and friends. The kids loved the video games and movies in the basement. The house is 5 minutes from Lake Laura, a putt putt golf course, ice cream store and one restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Close to hiking and several wineries. Although we didn’t go, there are two caverns close by as well. I would recommend this house to other families.

Summary: The stay was great! the location was picturesque, it was nestled on the forest hill, you can see the sunset right over the Appalachian mountains. The cabin has plenty of room for everyone to have their own personal space while also being able to enjoy everyone's company.

Summary: This place was really nice. Towels, linens, all of the cookware you need, clean and the price is right. We had a few days of rain, but the cabin had so much space and stuff to keep us busy. The neighborhood is very clean. New gas fire pit was great, we had samores. Awesome time with friends.

Summary: My husband and I wanted a quiet place with beautiful views to get away for a few days. We were so pleased with the Hickory House. It was everything the review said it was and more. It was in a beautiful location with a wonderful view of the mountains. It was in a central location to many activities. I can’t wait to visit again!

Summary: We called it the tree house because the upper deck sits up in the trees. Nice relaxing view from there. Very comfortable place to spend a little off the beaten path. Somewhat dated but nice. We ate in more than we normally would due to the virus. Cooking ware could use a good cleaning or even replacement.
