Positive: We really loved Moyo villa. Very cozy with friendly staff. Delicious breakfasts (eggs, fruits, chapati). Location is also perfect - multiple cafes/restaurants within 5 min walk and other activities nearby (kite surfing, trips to island). In the village there are also shops and fruit market
Negative: Mosque can be loud indeed, but this was not a problem for us at all. Internet connection can be unstable, but this is expected for Zanzibar

Positive: Everything about Moyo was perfect! We are a family of 4, with 2 children ages 9 and 12. We spent 7 nights at Moyo for New Year's 2023/2024. We booked a 2 bedroom apartament. It is very cosy and comfortable and shows much of the local tradition. All the furniture and the setting is charming and you can find signs of the local style throughout the apartament, even a traditional style door converted to a living room table. The swimming pool and outdoor area are beautiful and very well taken care of. The pool was cleaned every day and so was the entire apartament, spotless every day. The biggest surprise was the breakfast, served every morning on the terrace. Pancakes and fresh fruit every morning, an absolute Dream. The location is right on the beach. A beautiful White Sandy beach also cleaned and combed every day. The tide is quite intense but that was not a problem since we had the pool also. And the scenery at low tide is beautiful. We Walked a lot up and down the beach and could not find a nicer place. We had lunch and dinner either on the beach at one of the 3 nearby restaurants or we ordered food at the apartament. They all served good food but our favourite was Mzuri, a local restaurant where we ordered food from. Sonia, our host was so helpful And nice about anything we needed and all the day trips and half day trips that they organized for us were perfect, with the help of the local manager, Dan. He even drove my husband to the market when we needed to buy snacks and water for ourselves. It really was the perfect place for our holiday and we couldn't have asked for more. Safety was never an issue, we left all our things in the apartament with the door always open and had no problems. Elizabeth from the massage shop was amazing as well. So thank you again Sonia for a great holiday! What a dream it was and how lucky we were to find your place! We highly recommed it if you are looking for a quiet vacation in the heart of the local community!

Positive: The breakfast was suitable to my dietary needs. The location was fantastic. I loved how the employees were very helpful with information on activities. generally everyone was very friendly/
Negative: Sometimes in the evenings the locals would approach you as a single female and it was a little terrifying for me.
