Positive: The staff (friendliness & good knowledge of English), the room (view & comfortable bed in deluxe rooms), remote and calm location
Negative: The food is ok but not special, the pool is too cold (even in summer) and too many kids trying to sell stuff (although this is a general issue and not specific to the lodge) - which you shouldn’t support as it discourages them from pursuing an education

Negative: Insects but I guess that’s what happens when you’re outta the city and yes my toilet kept flushing on its own. My room number was 404

Positive: The location is amazing: such a peaceful and beautiful area, the view from the rooms is awesome. The staff speaks good English, they are extremely helpful and sweet. The pool is big and clean, the rooms are very cozy. I extended my stay cause I couldn't get enough of this wonderful place!
Negative: I personally didn't like pho bo cause I've been to many places in Vietnam and know how a good one should taste :) The rest of the food was nice though.

Positive: We had a great stay at this hotel with an astonishing view of the rice fields. The staff was very friendly. They helped us organise a taxi to pick us up when our bus got delayed into the nightly hours, and a staff member checked us in. The rooms were clean, comfy beds. We regret that we did not do the hiking starting from this hotel as we thought that Sa Pa would be better, which wasn't.

Positive: Worth it for the view. Waking up to these sights was fantastic, it is so beautiful there. Pool is lovely. Drinks were really delicious, especially the cocktails, and staff were friendly.
Negative: - Staff lost my favourite shirt in the laundry (they gave me half the money back for the shirt, but i cannot replace it which is more important to me) - Food at the restaurant is absolutely awful. No flavour and definitely not fresh, easy to tell when your partner is a chef. We were served a pitiful chicken burger one evening, chicken was 1 inch wide, complained, and then they brought out some more chicken but it was completely RAW, basically still walking around. We were still made to pay for my portion of this meal. We didn’t eat there again after this of course. - They allow shopping ladies and children to wait outside the front door of the hotel. If you leave the hotel you are swarmed and followed by people begging you to purchase small goods (bracelets, pillowcases, etc) from them. They did not advise us of this scam and clearly allow it to happen. I had to pay two ladies as I thought they were taking us on a walk for perhaps a small payment, but upon arrival at our destination (14 minutes walk away, they took us on a 1 hour walk through the forest) they began asking us to buy their stuff. I do not want this stuff and so had to pay them 200.000 EACH for their time. - one evening on the stay, children came inside the hotel whilst I was reading on the terrace, and was begging me to buy from them. I had to ask the staff to make them leave. - the kids can view you from a rock platform next to the hotel. I was sunbathing at the pool and they were continually shouting “hello where you from” for what felt like hours. Not very respectful. - bed was like a diving spring board and the floor was wet from tap leaking.
Summary: Expensive stay, almost food poisoning, but a great view.

Positive: Very picturesque place to relax. Pool was nice, room was furnished well.
Negative: Location is about 30 minutes from Sapa town. If you’re looking to rest outside the hubbub of the city, this might be perfect, but a grab to the city is about 300k vnd so just keep that in mind as you plan :)

Positive: If you’re looking for something different and less touristy this is the place. Easy pickup and drop off service from Sapa. Beautiful setting, amazing staff, tasty food and a huge comfortable bed - couldn’t ask for anything more. Did a fantastic trekking tour with Lee who took us around the local area. Fantastic views and great insight into the local way of life.
Negative: Everything was great, nothing bad to say.
Summary: Fantastic stay, great views and even better people.

Positive: Great location in Muong Hoa Valley, it’s a much better experience staying in this area over Sapa town. The staff are very friendly and have good ties with the locals to help you book authentic experiences that help the surrounding community. If you hire a scooter you are within 10 minutes drive of the most beautiful local eateries. Note that if you want to drive yourself you should be comfortable driving on dirt roads. The rooms themselves are comfortable and clean and good value for money. A special shout out to Huyen who was especially welcoming and helpful.
