Positive: Large rooms in a Ryokan style. We loved the onsen and they included a yucatan to wear. There were lots of choices at breakfast. They provided a free shuttle to Nara Park and the train terminal. The desk staff were so helpful when we needed to make a collect phone call! Much appreciated!!

Negative: It was a bit far especially if you don't have a vehicle, but they provided a shuttle service which we appreciated. It's an older property but that was part of the charm and it was so spacious.

Positive: I loved the onsen/ hotspring! It was very relaxing and had a large space from what I've seen at some other hotels. The dinner was delicious and the experience was fun to try traditional dishes. The beds are very comfortable!

Negative: The in-room bathroom was clean but dated.

Positive: The room was amazing, it was spacious there was a non-shared bathroom. The room also had a mirror and open windows to sit at in the morning. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast that came with the stay had a generous variety to choose from. There is also a cute souvenir shop to browse.

Negative: The location isn't close to the train stations, so you need to take a bus or taxi to the hotel. You can't check in until 3pm, so if you arrive early you have to wait, but they have a cafe you can order food or drinks at to bide your time. Also, not as close to the Nara deer park, you do need to take a bus to get down there.

Summary: I loved staying here, the location was a bit out of the way, but great other than that.

Positive: Very kind and nice staff. The public bath house was very nice with outdoor facility as well. Bedding was very comfortable, too.

Negative: Only issue was the really loud noise from the Cicadas outside. We were all waken by the the noise early morning.

Summary: Excellent stay for a family. Very nice staff and facility.
