3 Bedroom House in Phippsburg

1840 sq ft house on 1 1/2 wooded acres and 150 feet of waterfront property.
Enjoy the sunrises over Atkins Bay in the back yard and sunsets over Spirit Pond across the street.
Just one mile to Popham Beach with 4 miles of sand! Collect shells and/or walk to Fox Island at low-tide.
You can also relax on the deck and enjoy being in the woods.
Lots of animal life. Bald Eagles and and Osprey hunt and live in the State lands across the bay. You don't know how large the eagles are until they land in the trees in the back yard. We also have visits from deer, fox, and a lone turkey.
Another sight is watching a pack of seals drive fish into the bay.
House is relaxing. While the main Living/Dining room has television, the other living room can be closed off with sliding doors for some quiet reading time with a Futon, couch, and chair.
The first floor is the kitchen, dining room with large table, living room, second living room, bath with shower, and a bedroom. The second floor has a large master bedroom, a kid's bedroom with a twin-over-full-sized bunk-bed, and a full bath with tub/shower.
4 Kayaks are included in the rental. You launch in the pond across the street or down the hill in the backyard and into the bay.
Parking in front of house will accommodate three cars. A second driveway provides room for a couple more.
House water is drinkable. A large reverse-osmosis system provides water for the whole house (dishes, showers, etc.). If you've been to Popham before, you know what a rarity this is!
A large, comfortable deck with patio table and chairs, plus four Adirondack chairs. A propane grill for cooking is also on the deck.
A small, rock fire ring is in the back yard. Perfect for sitting around on summer nights.

Summary: The home’s location is ideal. The beach is close. We toured BWI in Bath and the Maritime Museum. Excellent. Brunswick and Bowdoin College’s art museum was a most interesting collection. Booth Bay & a harbor boat outing was picturesque. We boarded Amtrak in Brunswick for a day trip to Boston. The home itself was a good fit as we enjoyed the large dining table & kitchen. Well done!

Summary: This is a highly desirable property and my family and I would love to return. The house has a well-appointed kitchen and many comfortable places for relaxing with a book, watching TV, or playing games. Though it's tucked among the trees, the many windows give it a light and breezy feel. There's a beautiful deck overlooking woods and bay (one of two nearby choices for kayaking). We saw a bald eagle circling overhead a couple times. Best of all, it's about a mile from Popham Beach, so we were able to spend hours swimming during the day and come back in the evenings for walks during low tide.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The house has a beautiful view of Atkins Bay. The house is spacious and the dinning table and kitchen worked well for meals. The house is minutes to Popham. The deck was great and we were able to enjoy some meals outside during our stay. Ken was a great host and responded quickly to any questions during our stay. Thank you!

Summary: We had another great experience at 5 Lobsterman's Way in Phippsburg last week. This is our second year in a row renting this property. The house is clean, roomy, and in excellent condition. Lots of room to spread out - two upstairs bedrooms with a full bath, and a downstairs bedroom as well, also with a full bath. Plenty of room for our family, but also privacy when needed. The mattresses are newer (hybrid foam and inner spring probably) and very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed, with two good sized Lobster pots - a must for a Maine vacation. The best part however is the close proximity to Popham Beach, which is less then 5 minutes away by car. The house also included a season State Park pass pass, so we paid no fees to use the beach. Summary: Another memorable week at Popham Beach with amazing weather; hours spent prospecting for sand dollars, surf casting for stripers (one keeper that gave the three of us two tasty dinners) and long walks between the fort and Fox Island. We have yet to use the kayaks- next trip! The house has all the amenities needed to have an adventurous week at the beach. We are looking forward to our return visit! Thank you Doreen and Ken-

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Kenneth's house on Atkins Bay in Phippsburg. Maine. The house was roomy and spacious, with nicely separated bedrooms providing plenty of privacy. The kitchen was large and well stocked. There are basically two living rooms, both with nice views of Atkins Bay. The deck was recently re done with new planking and railings. The best part was the close proximity to Popham Beach. We've been coming the Popham Beach area to vacation for 20 years. It is one our favorite places in Maine. We would love to stay at Lobsterman's Way again in the future. Hopefully for two weeks next time! Walt and Peggy
