Stylishly furnished holiday home with all the luxury that is required today. Lots of space for 3 people. Living room, fully equipped kitchen, luxury bathroom, bedroom, exclusive use of heated swimming pool, private covered terrace, large outdoor area for sunbathing and relaxing, TV, internet and much more.
Les Volets Bleus has a beautiful view, is situated in a quiet area and within walking distance of the beautiful bastide village of Monflanquin.
The gite is a completely separate part of the house with its own driveway and entrance. It has a separate living room with sitting area, dining table and luxury kitchen. In the living room there is enough space to let a third person (adult, child or baby) sleep well.
The kitchen is new and has all conceivable equipment, such as induction hob, fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. From the living room you enter a small hallway that gives access to the bathroom and the bedroom. The bathroom has also been updated and has a shower, toilet, bathroom furniture and a design radiator. The bedroom has a double bed (separate duvets possible) and plenty of cupboard space.
Outside is a covered terrace with a view of the hilly landscape and a large, uncovered terrace with a lounge corner, barbecue and dining table. Guests have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool with surrounding terrace on which there are sufficient sun loungers and parasols. You can sit out of the sun at the head of the swimming pool because there is a large awning, or later in the afternoon due to natural shade.

Summary: If there was a blueprint for the perfect gite for two, it would be Les Volets Bleus. It's difficult to get a gite for 2 with a private pool, especially such a large poool with amazing views. Everything was even better than described. The furnishing, fixtures and fittings - both inside and out are outstanding. The very warm welcome from Ron and Marion made us feel at home instantly. They are on hand if needed but not obtrusive - thank you for your suggestions of places to visit and your generous hospitality. The location, within walking distance of Monflanquin, a few minutes drive from the supermarket, and a short drive through beautiful countryside to several other beautiful bastide towns couldn't have been better. With a market every day of the week, we enjoyed one of the best holidays we have had. We would love to return and have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends.

Summary: We very much enjoyed our 2 week stay at Gite Les Volets Bleus, it's proximity to Monflanquin giving us the best of both worlds, all the facilities of the town as well as quietness of the rural outskirts. Ron and Marion, who are excellent hosts, have invested a lot of time and effort in making this Gite a very comfortable home from home with everything you thought you might need being provided. The pool, as well as being warm, is immaculately clean and the patio and surrounding garden make it a great area to relax in. Monflanquin, a short 10 minute walk to it's centre, is a lovely bastide town with lots of lovely restaurants to enjoy fabulous food and wine. We arrived at the start of the 3 day medieval festival. This had lots of things to entertain us, from knights jousting to fire eaters, and street food. We would also highly recommend the Thursday night Marche nocturne (night market) where you can try various foods provided by the street stalls and wine merchant, just remember to take your own plates (just ask Marion, she provided us with some plastic plates and cups). There will also be live music ! We would not hesitate to recommend this gite to any couple looking to stay in the Lot et Garonne, it has all you could ask for, and lovely, attentive hosts in Ron and Marion.
