Positive: Great staff and lovely food in the restaurant. The single room was comfortable and a nice size perfect for a solo traveller. The river and cycle tract were very close.
Negative: Nothing!

Positive: Food was very nice, and the staff were pleasant and helpful, and easy to chat to. The beds were comfortable too. Not far from towns like Ashbourne and famous natural sites such as Thor's Cave.
Negative: TV had limited selections to watch despite having Netflix and other apps downloaded, and wifi didn't work all the time, but the staff did admit wifi was having problems.
Summary: A decent pub in a good location.

Positive: From the warm welcome onwards, I really enjoyed my all too brief stay. Excellent accommodation, the self-contained ground floor apartment was well laid out, thoughtfully equipped, comfortable and perfect for anyone looking for somewhere to stay for a break away. My evening meal and breakfast were very good too.
Summary: Perfect location for exploring Dovedale and surrounds, perfect for an overnight stop too.
