Positive: Apartment was spacious and comfortable and was quiet through the day and evening. The apartment was well appointed with all the facilities required.
Negative: There were some minor damages which should have been picked up and rectified between changes of renter but these were not detrimental to the stay at the apartment. The host was not friendly or helpful and was difficult to contact and did not pick up on mobile calls and the E mails sent by the host through Booking.com were not helpful. It was difficult to contact the host to arrange for the pick up of keys and since I was travelling for 18 hrs from overseas it was impossible for me to receive the keypad codes or get details for the entry. I was fortunate I had a relative in Houston who was able to gain access but they also had difficulty contacting the host who appeared disinterested and unhelpful. In the event the keypad did not work for the entire holiday and the key for the door to the car park had to be used. The request for a key for the door to the hall to get ready access to the gym, reception and pool was refused by the host who stated I could just walk around the building (there were thunderstorms and rain and the reception door was only open for business hours). In summary it is difficult to understand why a host would not try to be friendly and helpful to a guest to make their stay more pleasant.
