Summary: We stayed her for a short week while we visited DC. It is about an hour commute into and out of the city, but found it to be very peaceful and a nice getaway while visiting the city. Sheila was so nice and kind to us and the home felt very comfortable. Thanks again Sheila. :)

Summary: This is a beautiful house tucked away in a lovely neighborhood of Edgewater, Maryland. The spacious kitchen has everything you need including phone chargers (which I was happy to see as I had forgotten to pack mine) and speakers for music. Also, Sheila is the kindest and most caring accommodating host you will find. Five Stars all the way!!!

Summary: The property itself is fine. The location was great; family came to visit my son who lives nearby. The main room is spacious, has plenty of chairs but only has comfort seating for 4 people; other chairs are dining or high top stool style. Thought to move a couple, more comfortable, chairs into the main room but was directed to not move furniture...This made it difficult to watch a movie together. We also found a broken dining room chair, which we were able to fix for the owner as my son lives close by and has tools. The on-suite bathroom door was coming off the hinges due to incorrect screws (too long) which i was also able to shore up a bit. Also, the curtain rod hangers in the first bedroom fell off the wall. Seems this was a previous issue as there were two sets of holes; corrected as my son had tools to utilize. Moving on, the house is right on the main road in the area so traffic noise was a bit of an issue. Also, because the house is on the main road and there are trees and vines on the edge of the property, it makes for a blind entry onto central ave; the sight line should be cleared to make it a safer egress. Lastly, if there's a cleaning fee and service fee, asking people to load the dish washer and empty/put out garbage/recycling and strip beds is a bit much. Also, having closest to hang dress clothes or a dresser drawer, that would be nice. The owner did provide water, coffee, and some snack was nice. All said, for a three day visit, its doable. A longer biz trip?
