3 Bedroom Cottage in Clinton, Green Gables

Located on the beautiful Sou’west river, this luxurious 3 bedroom cottage has everything to make your vacation here in Prince Edward Island one that will enjoyed to the fullest and remembered forever.
Waterfront Paradise has been decorated and outfitted with high end finishes from top to bottom. New gourmet kitchen, 3 beautifully decorated rooms (1 king bed, 2 queen beds), a BBQ and 2 new large decks with a gorgeous glass rail (in the back only) to enjoy the view while dinning outside. Other features of the property include a private outdoor pool, french patio doors in the downstairs basement that lead to a new patio and fire pit, along with another fire pit closer to the water. A state of the art sounds system has been set up with 2 speakers on the pool deck, and 2 speakers on the back patio. All you need to do is download the Sonos app, and you have full control of the music from the palm of your hand. Our wi-fi network, which has been upgraded to that of hotel, keeps you connected all the way to the water.
Complete waterfront access to the river allows you to enjoy it the way you see fit, whether that be an early morning swim, a sunset paddle board, or just going for kayak down the river. (both available for rental) And if you are thinking of bringing a boat on your vacation, we have recently built 300 ft dock that allows you to park your water vessel in deeper waters.
Minutes away from some of the nicest beaches and some of the best golfing Canada has to offer, Waterfront Paradise is truly the place to be. We hope you choose to spend your vacation us as we plan to make it a memorable stay.

Summary: This is a beautiful property with fantastic views in every direction. It is completely removed from all the surrounding tourist activity but close enough to make that easily accessible if desired.

Summary: The House: this is a beautiful, welcoming, tasteful, well-appointed small cottage on a stunning piece of land with frontage on the Long River. There is a great sense of tranquility and privacy. The house doesn’t want for much. A fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, paper products, cleaning supplies, a dishwasher, a great gas grill, outside dining, and an above-ground shallow pool with its own deck with lounge chairs and deck chairs . There is also use of a one person kayak and an SUP board easily launched off the private dock on the property. The main dining table needs another 2 chairs - there are only 4. The house comfortably sleeps 3 couples (or children who don’t mind sleeping together). There is also a sofa bed in the small living room, but this is common area. There is a laundry room with a big washing machine and dryer. There is only 1 bathroom, which we found to be inconvenient at times. The property is surrounded by beautiful fields and we saw lots of different sea birds and two bald eagles who soared over us on our departure – quite a send-off. We spent 10 nights here from August 14-24, 2017 and paid US$460/night - a hefty price we thought. We did not finalize this rental until mid-June and there was not much inventory left. Location: great location convenient to grocery shopping, beaches, towns, etc. What was missing: the owners know we will mention this, but we were left to our own devices – no welcome list of nearby groceries/farm stands/local meat & fish markets, favorite restaurants, beaches, stores, local places of interest, etc. Nothing – just a few tourist brochures. This left us a bit asea and resulted in a sometimes frustrating first few days until we got our bearings. The owners provided a bit of this info casually via email before our arrival and afterwards, but we had to pry this info out -- odd. The owners were in Europe and although they said there was a caretaker, we never met this person and neither of the phone #s provided were accurate (one was flat out wrong, and the other led to a line that rang and rang with no answering machine). We have rented through HomeAway/VBRO in Costa Rica, Hawaii (5 times), Italy, Spain and Thailand, and while we absolutely prize our privacy, we always had minor contact with the local caretaker at the beginning -- welcoming and helpful. Operation instructions for the big TV set-up and Sonos (we have one at home, this one was quirky) would be extremely helpful.
