4 Bedroom House in Kalkaska

Come enjoy what Winter has to offer we have been getting plenty of snow. There are several ski resorts with in 30 -45 minutes, the snowmobile trails and ice fishing.
Welcome to paradise! Our home has recently been completely renovated and updated. It now boasts 4 bedrooms with sleeping accommodation's for up to 11 people. The 2 main level bedrooms have queen beds and a tv, the master bedroom upstairs has amazing views of the lake, with a king size bed, tv, walk in shower and deep bathtub for washing all the sand away, the other bedroom on the upper level has 4 beds-3 twin and 1 full, this room is perfect for all the kids! or adults ;) and a full on suite. The deck is now partially covered to provide some shade if desired.
Everything is this house is brand new...all new furniture, brand new comfortable sectional to relax on and look out to the lake, all new kitchen appliances and washer and dryer, and new patio furniture. Enjoy a night under the stars making smores in the bonfire pit, or relaxing on the covered deck in the morning with a cup of coffee. You will enjoy your time on Manistee Lake, it is a very calm, quiet, all sports lake, our beach front depth stays shallow (2-4ft) for about 10 ft out which is perfect for young kids! We have a paddle boat and canoe for renters to use.
We are located about 40 min from downtown Traverse City, which is full of shopping, eating and beautiful wineries, it is a must see! Petosky is about 1 hour away which is also an adorable little town with shops and beautiful water views! Want to stay a little closer? check out the cute little towns of Gaylord or Mancelona.
Our lake house isn't just perfect for a summer get a way, you must come see it in the fall after the leaves have changed or if snow is your thing, come up and enjoy all the snowmobile trails located in the area!
We are no longer asking you to bring your own bedding. Some towels and beach towels will also will be available. Too many people complaining about too many different sizes of beds. That being said you may be asked to start a load of laundry , before you leave, depending on when the cleaning lady will arrive. I also had to raise the cleaning charge to account fro doing laundry.

Summary: My family stayed at this property for a week and it exceeded our expectations. Since I had my little ones traveling with us, we really appreciated the shallow water, private location, and kind neighbors. The covered patio was a luxury. The home was clean upon arrival and there were no surprises - we packed our own sheets and towels for ease. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. We had a fabulous time in this updated home and would love to stay again!

Summary: Listing says you can use their sheets for an extra cleaning fee, but that is not accurate. You have to bring your own sheets and they have 4 different mattress sizes. They told us to bring our own beach towels which is fine, but they did not provide any bath or hand towels and that was not mentioned. We spent over a hour between two people cleaning when we arrived. Every hand soap container in the house was nearly empty upon arrival. Bathrooms were not in sanitary condition, fridge empty but not clean, dog hair everywhere including inside the fridge. The location is great and neighbors are friendly. Just be prepared for the above if you rent this place.

Summary: Newly renovated top to bottom, quiet location with fantastic views. Can't say enough positive things about the hosts. Very engaged and pride of ownership shines through. All kinds of lake "toys" to enjoy, gas bbq and fire pit were used a lot. Fully equipped kitchen. Washer & dryer. AC but not necessary with fans in all rooms. Outside deck has not been fully enclosed as yet. Very comfortable lounges and sofas as well as patio table and chairs. A couple minor issues with the newly added upstairs- towel racks in bathrooms or hanging poll for clothes not yet installed. The view from the master bedroom, on the second floor, is spectacular. The master bedroom is very large and includes a comfortable chair and ottoman. Kids dorm had four beds with attached bathroom (nice design touch by owners). Definitely, would recommend for family gatherings.

Summary: House accommodated 5 adults very comfortably. Location to the lake was amazing. Spent one day at Traverse City which was a short drive from the house. Neighborhood is very quiet, kind of too close to the neighbors but still a pleasant stay.

Summary: Beautiful newly renovated house on the lake! Perfect for families to gather and enjoy the water. Very quiet and peaceful. Water was shallow enough for kids under age 7 to swim in the lake with their lifejackets on and play in the sand.

Summary: Had a pleasant time on the lake. We were able to bring our boat with parking available for the trailer. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. Had a short drive for a day trip to traverse city. Also took the family kayaking close by. Caught plenty of bass on the lake and had a relaxing bonfire every night.

Summary: Very nice place on nice property on a Great Lake. Neighbors were very nice. Only issue was the dog hair, the smell of dog and the fire pit was littered with garbage when we arrived. Did not expect to have to do a deep clean when we arrived, but once everything was clean, we had a very nice stay.
