7 Bedroom House in East Beach, St. Simons Island

Welcome to the newly renovated in 2022 Cameron Chase Cottage! This seven bedroom and six and one half bathroom has been totally renovated as of Janruary 2023. This home has everything a larger family will need during their stay. The home has three levels with multiple porches, three living areas on each floor, large kitchen and dining room and a private pool that can be heated for $75.00 per day or $400.00 for the week.
The first level has two bedrooms with two full baths. A large living area with plenty of seating, ping pong table and large flatscreen tv. There are sliding doors to access pool and grilling area. The second floor has a large sitting area, dining room, half bath, sitting area with desk, large kitchen, eating area, living area, master bedroom with full bath and a screened porch with sitting area.
The third level has three guest rooms and three full baths. There is a fourth room with a bunk bed that is for children only under 10 years of age and under 100 lbs. Also located on this floor is another living area with large flat screen tv and an open air porch.
All three levels can access the back stair way that will take you from the pool deck to the third floor and back down. The pool area has enough room to entertain after those long days on the beach. * The ladder leading to the roof top deck will be off limits.*
This home is located in 15th Street East Beach. You actually have ocean views from the front yard and second level porch. At night you can hear the waves crashing on the beach from any of the outside porches.
This home is a short walk to the beach and less than a five minute car ride to some of the best restaurants on the island.
Check in is at 4:00 pm and check out is at 10:00 am NO exceptions. Please do not arrive at the property early. We have cleaning staff and other employees trying to prepare the property for your arrival. All guests that arrive prior to 4:00pm or check out later than 10:00 am will be charged one additional night

Summary: Good location close to the beach. Sliding door doesn’t lock, and that issue has been noted in other reviews, but hasn’t been addressed. One trash can for an entire week in a 7 bedroom house is not sufficient, and the garbage collection does not pick up extra bags that aren’t in the can. Pictures look like there are two garage spots, but the garages are off limits. Skimmer baskets in pool were filled to overflowing, and the pool sweep hadn’t been run in some time. We were able to clean them out and connect the pool sweep, but that should have been part of the cleaning prior to check-in.

Summary: This is a great house. We had a wonderful time and the management company responded very quickly. Upstairs door flew open with storms prior to our arrival and the carpet was wet; we didn't want the floors to be effected. Also a question about the hot water upstairs and again- responded and checked it out/fixed very promptly! It was perfect for the 11 of us and walking distance to the beach. The inside of the house is gorgeous! Truly had a wonderful stay!

Summary: We really liked the location, number of rooms, and bedrooms were reasonably comfortable. No issues with WiFi, TVs, or basic amenities.Upon arrival, there were a number of issues that were not satisfactory (listed below). Some attempt was made to resolve during our stay but not until we were halfway into our stay.- Paper products (e.g. paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, etc.) and hand soap was provided in very limited quantities and of very poor quality.- Some of the sliding glass doors leading to balcony do not lock (safety issue if staying with kids)- Curtain torn down in one of the bedrooms. Eventually this got repaired on Day 2.- Paid extra to have the pool / spa heated. Was not heated on arrival and was very dirty (layer of dirt / leaves in the bottom). Maintenance had to be called for repair which was completed on Day 2. Pool didn't heat up enough until Day 3. At the time of this review, no refund for this "add on" has been issued.- One trash receptacle for a house that sleeps 13 is nowhere near enough capacity.- Sheets provided in some of the bedrooms were bleach-stained and it was questionable as to whether they had been washed (hair and bugs found on Day 1)

Summary: Pool was great after cleaned on second day. House was perfect size for our party of 9. Kitchen could have had more supplies I.e a colander and measuring cup and electric griddle. Stove was complicated to operate. Beach had a red light the entire time of our stay. We enjoyed our stay at Cameron Chase. Shopping on SSI was fun.

Summary: My family had a wonderful stay at this home. Every detail was spot on. Comfortable, calming and very clean. This is by far one of the best homes we have ever stayed in. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitche had all the tools necessary. So thankful to have found such a wonderful place to make memories with the family.
