Wake up to the peace and serenity of the Estuary, enjoy breakfast on the deck watching the world wake up!
The perfect Kiwi retreat! An older style two level House, with large open plan living area upstairs flowing through to the super sunny conservatory and great deck overlooking the ever changing Waihi estuary and Little Waihi settlement.
A NEWLY RENOVATED kitchen forms part of the large open plan living area with new paint and carpet throughout. Just through the kitchen is a NEW bathroom area, with new shower and separate toilet.
Off the dining area is a good sized bedroom with a queen bed, a small toddler bed and a sliding door opening to the deck.
Downstairs is a toilet, shower and laundry with one queen bedroom with another bedroom with queen and bunks + queen bedroom with bunks ideal for a separate family group. **Please note, no internal access to upstairs - you need to climb the external stairs).
Sleeps up to 13 (8 adults and 5 kids)
Enjoy walks either way along the estuary waterfront via direct access down driveway. Plenty of room to park the boat, with a handy filleting bench attached to the back of the garage with a hose for easy cleaning.
An easy stroll to “The Hippy Pipi Bar and Restaurant” for entertainment or a meal, or to enjoy a quiet ale. Dairy and takeaways also available.
Centrally located, we are just a 15 min drive to Te Puke (past the golf club), 30 mins to Mt Maunganui and Tauranga (via toll road), or 40 mins to Rotorua and Whakatane – all excellent roads. If you need to refuel the boat BP is just 8 mins.

Summary: Great atmosphere. Having the estuary at your back door and the beach about a 3min walk away. Pet friendly. More than enuff room to cater 11 of us. Honestly you won't be disappointed. 10/10 from myself and family🏆

Summary: Property was good, nice beach view but the couches were different to the photo’s (not as nice) The double bed we slept on upstairs was really hard and had no support in the mattress not comfortable at all. There was also no Internal access to down stairs which should be listed more clearly in the ad. There was a clothes dryer listed on ad but there was none. On a more positive note was really handy that they provided linen and had a nice modern Kitchen.

Summary: Nice place - good location, clean, spacious, modern kitchen, manager really helpful. But unusual layout and the description does not show this. There are two bedrooms downstairs. They are not accessible unless you go outside, down the stairs, and in another external door. Tricky if you have children in those rooms. The two bedrooms downstairs have no connecting door either. Both are accessed from an exterior door.

Summary: Pukehina Beach is always lovely and it's awesome that this property allows dogs- however the photos made the property look fully fenced but the property is fully open to the road. There was also a problem with the oven not working and quite a few lightbulbs missing which they were very helpful to fix once we got the correct contact details for the managers. The beach access is just across the road and the deck area is great. Two of the bedrooms are downstairs which can only access upstairs (the kitchen & deck) via the external staircase.

Summary: While the upstairs of this property is lovely, we did not realise that there was only one bedroom upstairs and 2 separate rooms downstairs that were not accessible from inside. We could not sit upstairs while our children slept downstairs or vice versa so we had to move to another property last minute (which luckily the rental agents were able to arrange!). The stairs and deck are also not safe for young children; this was not noted on the description. The outside stairs are rickety and had a loose board. There is no gate/fence around the property. I feel this house would be more suited to a family with teenagers or just adults unless everyone plans to sleep in the same room... The rental agency worked hard to accomodate us which we appreciate, but I wish things had been a bit clearer in the description!

Summary: We appreciated the spacious rooms and living area as well as the dishwasher and "no wifi" certainly helped with more family bonding time:) LOL The view of the sunset from the deck was delightful! Downstairs was slightly cold and felt uninsulated but otherwise we coped! We were told we could swim at the nearby estuary but the current was too strong so it was off to the beach instead! :) Thankful also for being able to bring along our furbaby as most accomodation do not allow them:) The whole family enjoyed their stay and would definitely stay again! Thanks once again:)

Summary: The upstairs part of the house was perfect - very new and spacious with heaps of seating. A small frypan would have been nice though. Good coffee making facilities (plunger and Nespresso) which was appreciated, and also plenty of fridge space. Downstairs was a bit more tired looking but perfectly comfortable. Had some problems working out that you have to turn on the gas to get hot water. Overall a nice place to stay - though it was a bit of a struggle to have to bring all the bedding and towels from Christchurch. There was some confusion over what bedding was provided - would be good to make it clear that duvets and pillows are provided.

Summary: We loved our stay. The house was well equipped, spacious and interior looked as if it were recently renovated. Its the perfect place to relax and chill with family and friends. We would definitely recommend this place.
