Secluded, quiet, and updated! This house is on the San Bernard River located 10 minutes from the intracoastal by boat! This house is newly renovated and has everything you need to enjoy a weekend getaway with friends or family. It sits on a 1 acre lot and has river frontage allowing you to fish, crab, or sunbathe on the pier all day long. Bring your boat, launch it at the private boat ramp in the neighborhood, and enjoy fishing, playing, or a little of both! We are only a 25 min. boat ride to Sargent and 20 min. boat ride to Freeport. There is a private beach that can be accessed by boat only that has some great fishing and beachcombing. The house is equipped with all of the kitchen appliances you will need to have a comfortable stay and it also comes with a grill, fire pit (bring your own wood), kayaks, beach toys, chairs, pack and play (optional), high chair, washer and dryer and so much more.
This is a 2 bedroom/1 bath house with a queen in one bedroom, a full/twin bunk in the second bedroom and a couch bed in the living room. There is a smart TV and internet with free wi-fi!
By vehicle, the house is located 15 mins to Sargent and 20 mins to Lake Jackson where you can find restaurants and shopping. There are local guides nearby if you are looking for a fishing charter, reach out and we can help!

Summary: This was our second stay at this home. I call it a home because it is more than just a house to us. It has everything you need or want. It’s so cozy and has a great neighborhood and neighbors. The cleanliness and decor in this home is superb! It’s so well put together with every amenity you need. Kayla the host is great! You couldn’t ask for anyone better! She’s easy to talk to and will take care of anything needed. We cannot wait to return. We travel down south a lot and this is and will continue to be our go to home! Anyone thinking about renting this should give it a go. You will not be disappointed!

Summary: The rental process was easy Kayla was super sweet and helpful. Neighbor Rick was awesome lending us Kayaks and free ice. Love the decor and kitchen had everything we needed. Only recommendations would be a ladder for the dock. And maybe one day a fridge in the storage room downstairs for evenings by the fire. We will definitely be booking again. Thanks Kayla

Summary: This place is a tremendous way to unwind and decompress from the rat race of daily life. We stayed for an entire week fishing, crabbing, kayaking, playing at near by beaches, porch swinging, and eating our fill of fresh caught fish and crab. We spent the evenings star gazing, night fishing and roasting marshmallows over bonfires. Coming from city/suburban life, secluded peace and quiet accompanied by nature sounds is ever so calming. Across the river as windmills spin, cows graze and meander through the wide open space. Kayla is a gracious host and her desire for guests to be comfortable is evident. An example of this is the several different kinds of mosquito defense provided: the owners had sprayed for mosquitoes before we arrived, provided additional spray for the lawn if needed as well as bug spray. The yard is also immaculate, which definitely helps with the bugs. Kayla not only provides wonderful amenities, she is very responsive to any questions, concerns or thoughts. She had some great suggestions for local fishing spots! There were no surprises and the pictures wonderfully depicted the house. Our cell phones worked just fine, which I was a bit concerned if we would get decent service. My husband said the WiFi is adequate for working remotely and jokingly eluded he may just sneak away to get his project done. The neighbor’s are very kind, welcoming, and introduced us to their sweet dogs. This was our first time to visit this area of Texas and we know after our stay here that we will be back. This home speaks to the family’s love of the San Bernard. Thank you for opening your home and helping us to experience the Bernard!

Summary: This house was superb! It was just what we were looking for! Definitely felt like a home away from home! Had everything we needed and more. The host responded to our needs immediately. She was very easy to talk to. The location was very peaceful. We even managed to catch a few fish. I will give it a 10 out of 10! And look forward to renting again and again!

Summary: This house was clean, organized, and gorgeous!! I’m definitely booking again!!! Easy to get ahold of property manager, she even got back to me fast. 10 out of 10 recommend booking this house! We were able to enjoy fishing and being outside!
