Positive: The facilities are great, really has a relaxing vibe to the place.

Negative: I had to leave early on the last night of our stay for work reasons, I left my wife and son to spend the night here and they would join me in the morning. That night however there were two occasions in which someone tried opening the door to our room. The first time it was the security guard and the second I can only assume it was the security guard again. This left my wife very nervous. There shouldn't be a need for the security guard to test the doors to see if they're locked, it's disturbing for the guests. Please talk to him and ask him to stop doing this

Positive: The staff were exceptional, the rooms were great, and the garden and pool area were beautiful. We also spent time closer to the bay, but this hotel offered far better value.

Positive: We really liked staying at Nicawaves. The resort itself is very relaxing and not very big. It has a relaxing swimming pool and a restaurant on site. The staff was very friendly and the food was also good. It is situated near a few breaks. But having a car or a scooter is much better to get to the breaks compared to walking. The resort also offer boat rides and car rides to breaks. Especially if you take the surf package. The room was also very comfortable.

Negative: The AC could have been a lot better. Popoyo can get very hot and humid. It took long to cool down. The pool was a bit too chlorinated.

Summary: A great stay for surfers in Popoyo.
