Positive: Where to start? We liked everything. Be it Ruth and her contagiously happy and relaxed demeanour or the amazing views from our cabin and, at the risk of sounding new age, the feeling of of connection to the planet I got while being there. The cabin was nestled on its own field surrounded by forests and mountains, I can not describe the view we were getting waking uup there or having breakfast. It must be experienced. You can not be closer to wild fauna as we woke up to deers grazing meters from our bed! If you're lucky as we were you will also spot those giant white owls hunting at night under the starry skies. The bed was extremely comfy and large and we were surprised by the amount of comfort the cabin provided. An actual cool cooler that was large enough for a week of groceries (Perfect for storing ciders :D). A clean and large enough bathroom and we did not once worry about anything as Ruth was always a phone call away. As proven on the first day of arrival when our shower had no hot water it was fixed in about 5 mins by Ruth! The breakfast provided was top-notch and varied day by day (I recommend the crepes and the salmon!) and was delivered in the morning by Ruth on the porch but we could sleep in undisturbed as I am sure that place will make you incredibly relaxed. Which brings me to the key attraction of the camp in my opinion, the relaxation. I literally forgot about everything else outside of the cabin, we knew they were other people on the camp but you don't feel, hear or see them. I just could sleep, read, watch nature, hike, connect with my partner, meditate, think and exist in a way I had forgotten to do due to the hussle of "normal life". A special thank you to Paul for being a life-saver as our battery died one day while being there and he had the tools and expertise to fix it and help us back on the road to get a new one.
Negative: Honestly the only thing I really did not like and was a huge bummer is the fact that we had to leave! :D We are definitely looking forward to being back as soon as we can to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in the mountains of Ireland.
Summary: A new definition of relaxed.

Positive: Privacy, tranquility, dog friendly - no wifi but we had 4g no problem. Great place to reset and de-stress… Loved the home made bread, healthy juices, straight from hens eggs. Real nature and our dogs loved the stay. Plenty of different utensils but I would always take with me additional camping kit for cooking. Owner is very helpful and friendly.
Negative: Nothing
Summary: Perfect place to chill out but not for 5 star hotel moaners

Positive: We really loved the experience of staying at Nire Valley Eco Camp. The house is not huge but decorated and cleaned with such a good taste and love that it really felt as our temporary adventure home. There is a modern bathroom and a little outdoor kitchen. We had a double bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs in an inside balcony. The children really enjoyed sleeping there. We could eat outside or inside. The house and bathroom have heaters and hence, are very cozy. Our host Ruth was really friendly, patient and welcoming. She treated us as if we were her family. She brought us every morning the greatest breakfast with self-made bread and juice, eggs from her chickens, crepes, croissants, cereal, whatever we wished for. The location was exactly what I have hoped for. There are 4 other wood cabins and Ruth’s house nearby, but they are far enough and the space is so large that you can enjoy the special gift of being alone in the middle of nature. In the morning we often saw deer around the house. Irland is very green and full of nature, this spot nearby Waterford was perfect as a base for us driving everywhere to discover it. Ruth recommended some beautiful beaches where we were alone, an enchanting path along a river in a lovely forest, stunning castles and great but affordable restaurants. We really would recommend to both families looking for something special or couples, willing to enjoy a very romantic location, to stay at Ruth’s place! Many thanks again Ruth ❤️
Summary: A lovely stay, great location and accommodation, most welcoming host!
