Silver Mine Retreat is a cozy, one bedroom rental. It is located next to the famous Tight Hollow old growth forest. We have a catch and release lake on the property for you to enjoy. Stocked with catfish and many other types of fish. Fishing is at your own risk and life vest must be worn when around the lake for your safety since there is not a lifeguard on duty. Life jackets are provided in cabinet and kid sizes available upon request. This is a catch and release pond only so keeping any fish is strictly prohibited
This is a lodge style rental but privacy is not an issue as there are only two rentals in the building and they are located on opposite ends of the building.

Summary: We absolutely loved this property. It was easy to get to and close to everything we wanted to do. It was also one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed in and comfortable too. The fall decorations were a nice touch. We enjoyed fires in the evenings and grilling on the deck. The property is large, and the back is the perfect place to watch the sunset. The owners were so easy to get ahold of and always quick to respond. Very thoughtful and responsive. Highly recommend them as a host!

Perfect cabin for two. Very comfortable and everything you need. Perfectly situated around all the areas we wanted to see. Beautiful area! Wonderful stay.

Summary: My husband and I LOVE Red River Gorge and normally camp and hike , but for our 25th Anniversary we decided to get a cabin and let me just say it far exceeded what we expected! It was in a prime location so close to everything! Hiking trails, restaurants, and more! Also even though close to everything it felt secluded and had beautiful views on property! Even got to see a few turkeys on the property. Also I very much appreciated the time and dedication to cleanliness and the modern decor! We would definitely stay here again!
